Update: bitstamp feed appears to be updated on bitcoincharts again, apparently without any history loss.

Yeah, I wrote earlier already that I'm pretty pissed off at both bitcoincharts (for not giving a fuck about the second biggest exchange) *and* bitstamp, for not getting in contact with bitcoincharts and solving the problem.
For now, bitcoinwisdom is a (far from optimal) substitute.

Nice find. But I have no way of verifying if that's really the reason why bitcoinchart isn't pulling data anymore.
Bitstamp should actually care (it is in their best interest) whether they are displayed on BitcoinCharts, so they would (probably) unban BCharts if they could...

Nice find. But I have no way of verifying if that's really the reason why bitcoinchart isn't pulling data anymore. Other sites still get the recent bitstamp data (bitcoinwisdom, for example), so either they implemented the fix you linked to, or the bitcoinchart situation is caused by something else.

For fucks sake. This is getting ricidulous. Bitcoincharts never seems to answer to emails, so I'm not really surprised they're not responding now.
Any suggestions what to use as an alternative? Ideally something that has the wide range of indicators that bitcoincharts has. Did anyone here ever use clark moody's rtbtc website? I head good things about it, but didn't use it yet (15 days trial is a few dollars, guess I should give it a try.)

Back to the topic: I already said it above, but what bothers me is not only that bitcoincharts isn't responding *at all*, as far as I can tell, but that bitstamp themselves don't seem to care much. I'm starting to get pretty pissed off about their attituded on this.

That index ignores Mt. Gox, because one of their criteria for inclusion is that "Banking transfers in or out of the exchange must be completed within seven business days." That's reasonable.

Well, the bitcoincharts is kept up by the Tibanne Ltd., which owns the Mt. Gox. During the last couple of weeks the Bitstamp has became a true competitor to the Gox, so I guess this is the reason why Bitstamp is dumped from the bitcoincharts. Which is annoying to me, and I am actively looking for an alternative for such a great service as bitcoincharts was.

My reaction is similar. I posted on their twitter page, and their response was basically "we don't think it's a problem on our side, maybe contact bitcoincharts yourself." A bit blase I have to say... bitcoincharts is one of the most imporant, if not *the* most important btc data site (apart from clarkmoody maybe). If I were them, I would (a) get in contact with them myself to fix it, and (b) let the world know that it's not their fault, and they did everything they could to solve it.
