Our Slovenian friends may be ignoring my open tickets, but I have the feeling they are reading this. After that last posting the BTC withdrawal I just requested was executed in the record-breaking time of about 1 minute.

Good point. However, that would imply that as suspected Bitstamp did not bother to send it out on Wednesday as they promised, despite knowing about the upcoming holiday. If they had clicked on "submit" on Wednesday it would definitely have gone out that same day.

If this is actually what happened, this would result in a withdrawal time of at least 8 days - echoes of the various Mt. Gox excuses back in May just before they stopped allowing withdrawals altogether.

Wait till monday, it could be processed by bitstamp, but not by their bank.

However..... it is now Friday and the money still has not actually arrived.

Was it ever even sent out?

Dear Bitstamp users,

Due to upcoming holidays, October 31st Reformation Day and November 1st All Saints' Day, bank deposits and withdrawals will not be processed as our bank will be closed.

All bank deposits and withdraws will resume on Monday, 4th November 2013.

Thank you for using our service!

Bitstamp is starting to remind me of Mt. Gox. I am starting to wonder if there is something fishy going on there.

While I would not say that Bitstamp was always "fast" it the past, they certainly were "faster" than now.

Is anyone else besides me having problems withdrawing funds from Bitstamp? Now BTC withdrawals can sometimes take hours, and this last week I have been waiting on a fiat withdrawal for 5 days now. I submitted the withdrawal request prior to start of business on Monday. By Wednesday still nothing had happened, so I complained. After this, they finally "processed" the withdrawal. However..... it is now Friday and the money still has not actually arrived.

Was it ever even sent out? Hard to know. Of course the funds could be stuck at the correspondence bank in New York (this can happen), but this is not something I can find out from my end. The Bitstamp team would have to follow up on their side. Unfortunately, to date there is no indication that they feel disposed to do this. This is the part that reminds me the most of Mt. Gox.

Being in that business, I am not surprised you would say that.

Lol, that's perhaps a fair call but to be honest, we're in "that business" to be the point of difference.  We process wire deposits and withdrawals on a weekday-daily basis.

My recent bitstamp withdrawal was rejected after 1 day with the following reason, which might explain these "delays":

Reason:
Due to the integration of an upgraded automated processing system we kindly ask you to resubmit your withdrawal request.

We apologize for the inconvenience.

UPDATE:  I got paid.  Things are looking up.  Not the speediest wire in the world, but it did make it.

Still nothing today.  With the exception of CryptoXchange, this is the slowest wire I have ever gotten.

To be completely honest, I still wouldn't be overly concerned about the processing time.

Definitely.  I have used international wires for many years and I have never had one take more than 24 hours.  Most take a few minutes to a couple of hours.

Hi tiptopgemdotcom,

You've definitely been most fortunate.  Depending on the bank and the region combination, wires can at times take between 2 -4 days to arrive.

I don't feel fortunate in this case.  Still nothing from Bitstamp.

For me they usually take 1 night. I rarely see an international wire clear the same day unless its within EU or USA.

Likely a delay on Bitstamp's end not the banks.

SWIFT wires are usually cleared after one business day.

So if they sent it out today, then it should clear monday morning.

It took three days for them to process my withdrawal, and now I am waiting to see it hit my bank.  Who has done this (not SEPA!), and how long did it take to get your money?
