Hey Jone,

I complained about the sitatuation on reddit. There are a lot of guys with the same problems. There is a guy with the account "Bitstamp-Matic" that pretends to be from the Bitstamp staff. Anytime someone complains about this stuff he tells you to give him your account ID so that he can look into the matter. Guess what: next day my account was closed. I received an e-mail with the following text:

After careful consideration, Bitstamp decided to terminate Your access to Your Account in accordance with our Terms of Use. Your account will be terminated from the date of this notice having been received by you. This notice shall be treated as having been served upon completion of the transmission of this email.

The decision to terminate your Account has been reached following a close examination of your recent account activity and information which you have provided. It is our view that any continuation of our relationship would not be appropriate at this time due to internal policies.

Your recent deposit will be returned to the bank account of origin, costs withheld.

As I found out later, this happened to a lot of customers and it's something they'll always do when someone complains. I guess the money is lost. I can only recommend everyone not to use their service anymore. Fucking bastards.

Hi Ron_Swanson,

I have same situation here. Did money wire several times before, normally arrives next day. But did not show in my account after 3 days, contacted support, no reply at all.

Btw, did you finally receive the money?

Jone

Hi Trilby,

thanks for your answer. Just to keep you informed: these dickheads replied to my support request after two weeks. They apologized for the inconvenience and assured that the deposit arrived their bank account and is pending to be processed. I instantly replied to their message asking how much longer I have to wait until the money is finally credited to my account. This was three days ago. Guess what: neither did I receive the money nor did I get an answer. I'm so pissed. I can advice everyone not to use bitstamp anymore, they're some fucking scammers.

They replied to my ticket after five days, which I suspect only happened because I DM'd them on Twitter. It took them four more days to actually resolve the relatively straightforward problem (returning the XRP I had accidentally sent to the BTC/USD deposit address).

When I last needed to contact them last August, someone replied to the mail I sent to their support address within three minutes. To say the service has deteriorated since then would be something of an understatement. I won't be using Bitstamp again unless I hear that their support has improved significantly.

There's something very wrong at the moment. I appreciate their support is busy, but there's a difference between responses being delayed by a day or two and people not getting any response after a week or more. I've been waiting since Saturday for a reply to a ticket that should take one minute to resolve, and I'm not holding out hope of it happening any time soon.

You only have to search for "@Bitstamp" on Twitter to see how many people are in a similar situation: https://twitter.com/search?f=tweets&q=%40bitstamp

Needless to say, I'd strongly suggest that people avoid trusting Bitstamp with any of their funds until they get this situation sorted out. My experience up to this week had been positive so this is pretty disappointing.

Most worrying is that they seem to be planning to add support for LTC and ETH in the near future, when they're not anywhere near able to cope with the volume of support requests they're already getting.

Hi folks,

I do have a problem with bitstamp which drives me crazy. I'm a longtime customer and quite experienced in trading on their marketplace. I assigned my bank nine days ago to transfer money to bitstamp. I used the exact data bitstamp provided me with. Usually, the deposit is being confirmed by bitstamp the next day. But not this time. I wrote them (support ticket, e-mail...) about this problem seven days ago, but won't get a reply.

I know that they tried to excuse their long support response times with the popularity of digital currencies in a message they published on their website on May 17th. This was four weeks ago! A company which makes as much money as bitstamp should be more flexible to hire additional staff.

This situation really pisses me off. Does anybody else have similar problems with bitstamp or a tip how I could speed up their response?

Thank you...
