On basic verification I wrote my surname how I had benn written it for years, but the system told me, that it can't found me and I shoul do enhanced verification. I send my driver license and selfie. But on my driver license my surname was written differently (without 1 letter (my surname can be written in both ways, and I didn't paid attention)), so I got the name mismatch and can't withdraw. Will Bittrex support help me in this situation and if yes, how many time it gets? Obviously it's just a typo, and not a basic verification with a fake name. Cry Cry Cry

i am waiting for a week and also no answers to my tickets

same here i've waiting for days now i have send my id and a fresh selfie but still no response and opened a ticket and also there is no response i cannot withdrew my money out  Angry still waiting though ... very disappointing from a big exchange like that

Bitttrex is fucking annoying alot of good coins are traded mainly there and for me there is no chance to get in... Because of a name mismatch my ticket is open since october 23 and nothing changed.... I have exactly the same in my account and at my passport, but it is a name mismatch. I am going crazy...no answer from the support team since weeks, just automatic generated ones

Bittrex ask people with multiple support tickets to log into their support account and delete all but your original support ticket. If they are trying to screw everybody sending lots of support tickets is neither going to bother them or help you. If they are doing this all by hand then clearing out useless support tickets will help speed things along.

I have had countless deposits and withdrawals on Bittrex over the years, I only trade crypto never fiat.

All of a sudden I can't withdarw any crypto without verification, I fill in basic verification, it says I have no public record which makes sense as I have never had to verify before, so it wants me to upgrade to advanced verification. I don't want to give data like that just so I can withdraw my crypto total value of about 1.2LTC.

WTF is going on?

Are Bittrex pulling some sort of a scam to make it hard to withdraw crypto deliberately.

I will NEVER use Bittrex again if they persist with this.

I just wanted to share little my experience here, I have experienced similar things, but only the errors on the selfie and the photo identity that is not obvious. And then I repeat it again with a clearer picture and all goes well there are no obstacles whatsoever. The name of your account on bittrex and the name on your identity though different, it will not affect and it does not matter, you just need to make the image look clean and clear, selfie image and also your identity picture. Good luck!

1 week later.
My problem is solved ... I sent a request and someone asked me questions and asked to send a scan of my identity card, a selfie.
I then managed to put my real basic information.
Now everything is ok for me

Do you need to have 2FA in order to withdraw btc or any other coins though?

The issue here i think would be if there is ever a problem with 2FA on bittrex account, you have to email them about it and then they might not even respond back to you and then your coins are frozen?  For example say something happens to your phone etc.. has anyone here have issues with that?  I ask this because lot of ppl have accts frozen and then they wont even answer email.  So if you have 2FA on... and something is wrong with it such as phone or something else, aren't you in same situation as the ppl who just got their account frozen etc?

Okay when i check my account settings it does say enhanced account.  Does that mean im safe to using it now?


Also i like to know do people here use 2 factor authorization with bittrex?  is it recommended or not?  I know it uses google authenticator.  But isn't an issue if you lose your cell phone or something like this going to be a problem?  Do you recommend turning on or off 2 factor authorization?  Also i read that if you want to turn it off, you need bittrex to email you back when you email them.  Is that true or false?  Because arent they already getting lot of emails already and not responding?

If you press settings you'll see the account type (enhanced) and how much you are allowed to withdraw. I think that you are okay now.
I do use 2FA and I recommend everybody use it, just make sure you write down safely the 2FA seed (you should see it when you enable 2FA) just in case you lose your phone. This will help you avoid too many e-mails, tickets, waiting...

Of course that will be a problem. If you register an account, and use a different name and address than how it is in reality, it will be seen as a suspicious act. If it's just a typo, then they will be helping you out for sure, but I don't think they will be too pleased to help out if you on purposely registered with faulty information. If you sign up for an account, you agree with their terms, which due to all governmental regulations have been far stricter than ever before. Unless you have a damn good story to back up your words, it will be a difficult task for both involved parties. One thing however is sure, and that's regardless of your situation, it will take quite some time for Bittrex to solve this matter.


Right. Bittrex won't entertain any of op's ticket to fix his issue. I heard someone did the same thing and now he cannot withdraw all his coins because of mismatch so next time use your real name that is exact so this won't happen again.

Hey all got a question.  I created a bittrex account not that long ago but never sent any btc there.  I have not deposited any btc there because i read you cannot withdraw without verification.


I first tried basic verification with my information and it did not work.


I then put in my verification document and picture.


I then got the message


Your application for an enhanced account has been approved
Your documents have been verified.



This was done in less than a few minutes.  Does that mean i can withdraw any amount of btc i want now?  Is it safe for me to deposit btc into bittrex now?  Or is it possible for them to make my account not verified?  Has anyone here gotten verified that quickly with their documents?  It was pretty quick when i got that message that your enhanced account has been approved.


Is there a way to confirm my account is indeed enhanced?

The best way to make the verification process faster is for you to request for a manual verification. But make sure all your ID and other documents are real and valid. Some of you are taking longer to be verified because your IDs might not be the valid type. Use your passport or driver's license.

There's now reason to believe that some traders on Bittrex are minors who should not be trading anyway.

Hi,

I have the same problem. When I created my bittrex account I wrote only my name and my surname but I have two names and 2 surnames in my ID card and when I tried to do the enhance verification it appeared a message that said "Name missmatch". I have sent lots and lots and lots... of tickets to the support but no one answered to me. Bittrex support is a shame, seriously. I'm desperate with them because I can't do any withdrawal or anything with my account right now. Anyone know what I have to do? I also wrote a message on his twitter but I haven't received any response yet. It's frustrating!!

Same problem. I had a fake name in basic verification, and they closed withdraw at all. I was forced to upload my documents and selfie and ofc I got name mismatch. Im still waiting for their response, but nothing...

I have been struggling with the same problem for the last few WEEKS. I kept sending the documents and nothing worked. Until i found this very topic on Bitcointalk. Hell yeah, we have all answers we need on this platform Smiley So, for those of you who still struglle with that issue: Make sure that the quality of your selfie is very high and the document you are holding is possible to read.

Honestly, you'd just have to keep trying.

Maybe try getting on their slack group, i've seen people woh have had reasonable success(better than just waiting for their crappy support team to respond finally) contacting them on slack and getting issues sorted out quicker.

I'm guessing that the issue came from your passport name not matching too.

i think that the problem of verification maybe are related with bitcoin gold... let me explain.... if you check btcgpu.org in the part of ecosystem and see the exchanges you dont see bittrex, but before de HF only two exchanges announce that give bitcoin gold, so maybe bittrex block some account for avoid a massive leak of bitcoins to other exchanges..

i open a support ticket request a manual verification, because i have a problem that my name not miss match.... so i make the request.... today i check my ticket its solved but in my bittrex account continue the message i need verification and my name not miss match.... really i dont know what is the problem with bittrex and the verification...

yeah same happened with me and couldn't figure out what to do , their support asked me to take new photos and I did that many times still getting the same error message

it's because they are using a program for the verification and they aren't doing it manually , many people complained about Jumio not working properly

after the disabling issue now I'm trying to verify my account through their ticket system , I sent my data a couple of days ago but still haven't got an answer

if the verification worked through their ticket system I will update you here so you can do the same

It's either you'll explain it to their customer support or continue using the account with a different name. Identity verification would still take place, and their customer support would send you an email if there are any major discrepancies on the documents you just sent.  After that you can explain the situation to them and might reconsider on changing your account name or let's you just create a new account in compliance to AML regulations.


I already open a support request ticket in their system and there is no reply for that request except that automatic reply configured by their system as

We've escalated your ticket to our Support Team. Here are some Enhanced Verification troubleshooting tips. We will be with you as soon as possible to help resolve your request. blah... blah... blah...
