Lot of exchanges platform need some I.D verification so you can start to trade and withdraw your money has been deposited by exchange so its better to know first the exchange after that you can trade with no problems to do.
As we speak right now, I think majority of big exchanges ask for this, so we can’t really shy away from these responsibilities placed on us. I understand that many people don’t really by the idea of KYC that is being requested by these exchanges, but Since we can’t create our own exchanges yet, we just have to still abide by their rules and hoping that whatever action they ask us to take in using their services will not work against us in the long run.

Let us just hope that things will change later and all these their craziness about KYC will stop, till the extent that even airdrop is asking for us, I have not really seen any of these exchanges come out to tell us why it became mandatory.

Yeah, I will suggest him to verify his identity so the withdraw process can continue. I think the Bittrex support system will help him to process his withdrawal. After he got all of his funds, don't use Bittrex anymore and he can move to the other exchange which doesn't need to fill verification. That will be the best things that he can do right now.
It's up to him whether he wanted to do KYC or not. KYC at the first place was at bittrex many years ago. If he doesn't comply with those requirements then it's up to him for his account to be blocked from trex. It's his funds and that's his loss.
That is what exchanger ask, we as user as you said can't do anything to resist it. But actually KYC on Bittrex really good to do because it is make us get bigger withdrawal and of course exchange like Bittrex still good to use to trading.

My friend found himself in a similar situation, and for a long time he did not want to send them his documents and confirm the verification, but after a month of negotiations with technical support, he gave up, and yet sent them all the necessary identity documents. Moreover, they demanded from him also an additional photo with a passport. Perhaps this is because he argued with them for a long time. But after he provided them with all the necessary documents, they safely paid him all the tokens. I think that verification on major exchanges will soon be commonplace. In any case, everything is moving in that direction.
t is very simple as that mate, some of this fights are not really worth picking up with them, it will just be like a waste of time, since he has decided to close his account with them, he would have just  given them the benefit of doubt and save himself of the cost of having to hire a lawyer.

Since most of them are now requesting for KYC, if that is the reason why is closing up his account with them, is it not better to stick with the devil that one knows than the angel ones does not know. Other exchanges he is running to too will soon impose the same on users’ whether they are decentralized exchange or centralized exchange.

You don't have choice bro, you will need to pass your Identity whether you like or not. Because if you wi not pass your informatiok you qill not get your money. I thinl before they required that requirements they need to message traders via email  and gives only few days atleast.  Because for sure if they do that many traders will withdraw their money because they did not want pass their KYC.

Since it the terms of the bittrex exchange so you must send them legal entity ID for withdrawal. How much you want to withdraw dear? It is large amount or small? If it is large then you should sent them the Id for withdrawal. If amount is low and you can sacrifice   the amount then you can ignore from sending Id them.

If you just withdraw under the limits, I think you will be fine. Most exchanges so far including Binance allow users to withdraw few BTC without asking IDs, this I think should just be your way out of it. But now that you have tried bigger, you would have to submit your documents now else its going to be locked there til you do something.

For your information, Bittrex already do this for almost 3 years ago and why you asked it for now and still use bittrex so far? I think you are too late to withdraw your money and you need to obey their rule if you still want to get your money. Did you know that Binance didn't need to send any document to trade? Because you can use Binance but your withdrawal limit will be 2 btc per day.

What ? All these stress to just get your fund out of their account and close it ? Bittrex is a well-known exchange and a big one too for that matter, I believe before they opened the exchange company, they must have had their policy in place to guide the operation of their system which would have already been programmed on the platform, so the system program is just simply doing its work, why not contact them directly and see if they will give you any vital information has to why they are requesting for such, they might have sensed an intruder, what If someone gained access to your wallet and remove your funds without your permission ? Would you not blame them for not performing all necessary verification before carrying out such transaction ?

Bittrex sent me an email asking for ID but I do not want to send them my ID I actually want to close my account, but they blocked my withdrawals until I send the ID.

This is common from bittrex, in the past they blocked many people's accounts without notice and these people can not withdraw their money. and bittrex has the very ugly and cruel habit of blocking people's accounts even when these people have verified accounts. see this case:

Bittrex - account disabled.

so I advise you to do KYC and once you can withdraw your funds stuck in bittrex, you should stop using bittrex. they provide poor support services

Anyone can assist me with this problem?

Only the poor bittrex support services can help you

If you don't have a Bittrex account, I suggest you close your account and not use it again. In recent months, I have been asked to authenticate myself, and I have done everything as desired. After 2 days of waiting period, the customer representative returned with negative feedback for the photos I sent. Although I had received all the photos clearly, even though I received a negative answer, I prepared photos again and sent it back to the customer representative. This time I had to post video to guarantee my work, but Bittrex considered my application negative. Then, even though I requested the closure of my account, I was constantly requesting authentication. I warn you again, absolutely do not share your identity documents with this service. Bittrex will introduce various challenges for you when the authentication process begins.

Basically you need to do KYC if you got any funds in your account that you want to withdraw.

They actually started doing this KYC sometime in 2017 where many accounts started to get frozen for no reason and they were forced to comply.

Most exchanges are like this these days. Same thing happened with Poloniex shortly after and that exchange was also KYC-free for many years prior to 2017.

Regulations in Crypto are changing and sites will need to comply if they want to stay in business.

There's no exemption to that rules, you have to comply with the KYC as I think it's a basic requirement now for Bittrex.
If that amount you are trying to withdraw is something you don't want to loss, then you comply, and if not, then you can just let that go.

Hi, thank you very much for the valuable information.

My problem is not with sending the ID information.

My problem is: what kind of KYC is this that accepts money from a depositor without ID, but does not allow the same depositor to withdraw the same amount deposited unless they provide ID?

It seems like a case you enter the movies for free but pay when you exit. Something is wrong.

Their Clause 3.3 applies hap hazardly?

If you do have a lawyer's contact in their state of Washington as they claim i will try my luck.

I got an email like this as well, best thing you can do is just comply and send your ID anyways and just never use their services again if you want your funds back. Any sort of legal action is going to likely cost more resources than what you could potentially gain. Try using another exchange in the future that doesn't require you to submit documents to use their site like Binance or try a P2P trading site like Paxful in the future (LBC's going to start requiring people to do KYC in the future).

Bittrex emailed its clients (not verified) in mass about the ID verification, and if I am correct it's not even the first time. Personally I will never send anything to it, especially since I stopped to use this exchange long ago now.
In your case a lawyer will cost you more that what it should, the only deal he will be able to do is to send your ID to unlock what is locked. Something you can do yourself online within minutes.
This is why I don't tend to put or store up amounts on exchangers for too long because of this possible problem you would face later on.I do receive these
emails back in the past with Bittrex which is typically for those who haven't verified yet and if you do have funds inside your exchange wallet then you would need to do on whats being asked.

If you dont like to comply into their KYC then you do have the full decision on not to do it but those funds of yours would be locked forever. No one would
really able to help you out since its part of their ToS.You wont have any choice but to comply it if you like to withdraw your funds.I know KYC sucks but

You should have checked their terms and conditions before depositing on the website. They clearly stated that, no withdrawal can't be completed without KYC. I am not advising you to submit your identity proofs to them, nothing is safe in the online world. I am using Bittrex from last two years. I don't think it would be a bad idea to submit KYC.

No one can assist you here, only Bittrex.

If the amount involved is quiet decent, then just submit your ID. Priority here is to get your withdrawal. The requirements is quiet simple. If there's no progress after doing that, then at least you do your part and that's the time you will now be aggressive in getting your funds. Lots of users already undergo KYC. I don't see why you have worried too much about submitting your ID. Identity theft? It really happen but I doubt you will experienced that because of submitting ID to Bittrex. After getting funds then close your account.

Although no legal entity can help you, it will just give you a hassle way if you will take a legal action here.

Have you read their TOS before using their services?

3. ACCOUNT

3.1. Bittrex Account
In order to use any Services, you must create and maintain an account through the Services (“Bittrex Account”). To create or maintain your Bittrex Account, or enable functions on your Bittrex Account, you will be required to provide Bittrex with certain information and documentation, including, as applicable, the information and documentation associated with identity verification and other screening procedures described in Section 3.3, below. You will: (a) create a unique password; (b) provide complete and accurate information; (c) promptly update any information you have provided so that the information is complete and accurate at all times; (d) maintain the security of your Bittrex Account by protecting your password from unauthorized access or use; (e) promptly notify Bittrex if you discover or suspect any unauthorized access or use of your Bittrex Account or any security breaches related to your Bittrex Account; and (f) be responsible for all activities that occur under your Bittrex Account, and accept all risks of any authorized or unauthorized access to your Bittrex Account.
Just check out Section 3.3 in the site.

TOS is commonly missed by users, mostly not reading it intentionally. The consequence is that, you'll end up making a deposit and unable to withdraw unless you go through the KYC process. I don't like that Bittrex allow users to deposit and require the verification later (probably on withdrawal), but what else can we do? They mentioned it in the TOS, "in order to use any services...." .

No one can really help you here. Either you do identity verification and withdraw or not and let go of your funds.

Bittrex is a great exchange and I think that giving them your ID isn't in risk. Every big exchange wanted them to know you so they conduct KYC. There's no problem I think if you just send them your ID. It's no risk at all.

As others have said, you can't withdraw because you need to pass their KYC verification. How big is your withdrawal though?

and you either fail to provide that data when requested, or else provide incomplete or insufficient data, we may not be able to perform or conclude the contract which we have or are otherwise trying to enter into with you (namely regarding your account opening on the Platform and provision of our related services).

In certain instances, particularly where this relates to AML / KYC Data, we may even need to exercise our prerogative to terminate our contract with you, and thus withdraw the availability of our services to you, or else, if still at application stage, we may have to decline to enter into a relationship with you. They are complaint with KYC and you should comply too. It is part of their rules upon agreeing on ToS. You won't get any withdrawals until you have fully verified yourself. No lawyer can help you with that and the lawyer will also say to you that you should comply with Bittrex KYC.

Unfortunately you can't have your withdrawals until you have complied with their terms. They are also mandated by the government to follow strict KYC procedures and are also bound by law. While you always have full discretion on whether to have your account KYC'd or not, they also have full control of their terms as they are the operators of the exchange. I believe even a lawyer will have a hard time pursuing this case legally as they (Bittrex) are just complying on what the law asks for.
