I started to dislike Bittrex because of their shady wallet locks whenever it suits them, but removal of shitcoins is definitely a move in the right direction. Hh, XRP, it would be kinda funny if the whole crypto space started to boycot it. I wonder, what would happen to it :p But hey, free market Smiley
Also don't know why is this happening to bittrex maybe the some of ys is right. But I think those coin who are being removed is about to go to cheap more. Well, time to buy mate since we are experiencing dump situation right now. Maybe bittrex now are become more strict.
maybe that coins could not give bittrex advantages and no profit from them.so they need to refresh their coins list to maximize their trading volume in order to growth their income.

It is good though. Too many coins around is not good for traders and newbie traders. Moreover, bittrex knows what is good for them by removing low volume coin on their exchange. I think that this is a good opportunity for many other coins to be listed on bittrex
Few coins are listed on Bittrex because their legal regulations are very strict but I believe in the future they will choose the best projects to list on Bittrex and investors will have more choices new in investment. I think this is really good for all investors and everyone should support this because Bittrex is always a good exchange.

There won't be many more coins listed on Bittrex, that's the whole point here. I'm not exactly sure if I remember it correctly, but getting coins listed on Bittrex would require the coin to be serving a purpose, or at least to be different than the shitload of other coins, where on top of that, it has to comply with all legal terms. This market is no longer the open field it once was, allowing shitcoins and scammers to party all day long at cost of innocent people. Bittrex stated also that they no longer list coins for a fee, which should cause a further decline of shitcoins being listed on the top tier exchanges. Side effect is that people will massively flow into Yobit and all other related shitcoin exchanges to get their shitcoin fix, because these exchanges keep ignoring legal terms, which is a dangerous practice btw. Authorities will at some point whoop these exchanges badly.

I think because those coins and tokens are already deads which is from greater to loser I think the devs of that coin already get the benefits of it. So, maybe Bittrex clean their exchange because there are many iseless coin now. Bittrex is for better coins.

It's an appreciatable step for the blockchain system. day by day Blockchain system is getting colored by the scam or other invalid ICO. I think those platform should be revoked and removed also from the every exchange site in the virtual world. it's true that some of these ICO have contaminated and raised a question about the validity.

So that I appreciate a lot towards this step and I also suggest the rest of the virtual exchange platform should take a similar step against invalid and scam ICO.

It is a good move by Bittrex.
It is all about business, keep those who gives you profit and remove those that does not.
For every coin delisted, new ones will come that will possibly bring them more $$$.
after this massive delisting , much trader hope bittrex will add new coins/tokens to their market.its has long time bittrex dont added new coin / token and it is exact time to do.maybe this could help their bussines.

I think biitrex has a reason why to remove many coins from the list. I see maybe the coin has a sale that is not high and bittrex can replace with coins that have high sales potential.
but i think this is the best choice from bittrex.

I've never even considered buying any of those coins, but I would be perturbed if I was sitting on a pile of them. Where do people even rank bittrex for buying? Everyone seems to do binance and then kucoin types for lesser knowns. I started on bittrex but haven't been back since maybe November. NEM prior to binance listing was the only thing that I was tempted to move money for.

Yeah I noticed that and I can say that is a really smart move from Bittrex. It would be nice that coins which have small volume of trading or have small price (example: 6 sat ) can be delisted too. There are too many useless coins which are used only for pump and dump. I hope they will add some new coins with good potential.
Many of Listed Tokens doesnt give big value anymore. Maybe some of them are Shitcoins.
I think Bittrex want their site more clean so many people more trust with their site?

It is already expected on where if theres a delisting then expect there would be a new listing of new batch of coins which I would really be glad since there are more potential coins which aren't being listed to this exchange and hope it would really be given a chance to be putted inside of such good exchanger.Delisting crappy coins isn't new anymore because even some exchangers do really need to done such thing to maintain the cleanliness and prone to shitcoin exchange.

Time to get rid of the XRP as well.
Lol. I really wish we can get to see this happen. Another huge shit coin trying to claim some relevance but obviously owned and controlled by thieves. It is not even a cryptocurrency and I wonder why any exchange will be listing it.

Whichever way, I want to believe the era of scam coins are gradually getting over as a lot of good exchanges will end up rejecting them, some will end up dropping them like bittrex is doing, and those with broken blockchain anyway does not have anything to offer anymore. Maybe regulation is at play here.
The fact is that it is still necessary to regulate the listing on the stock exchanges, since there is a lot of rubbish in reality, which only clogs the place and distracts the trader's attention.

Wallet lock can happen to any exchange for maintenance but I understand what you meant though. The most important thing for me as a user is to be able to get out my funds when I deem it fit and bittrex has never disappointed with that. However, with respect to the idea of dropping XRP by exchanges, I would really have loved to see that. Grin one scam coin that is just busy deceiving new investors. Nothing good with a centralized banker’s coin.

I think they remove or delist some coins in their exchange because those coins are lack of financial supports, no buyers or the developer is no longer reachable.
Well, it not always about bad support or developer things that leads to bittrex delist because bittrex is an exchange with policy and their agreement is that no token or coin owner must violate their rule and regulation to avoid delist.

There are tons of reason why they delist coins, some due to traders complaints in services of such coin, maybe the community or the team already forlorn it. The only dissapointing part of delisting if we werent aware that we have such coin deposited in their exchange that about to delist since notice might not be given or we might be late to found out that the time period to withdraw it is over. So we should always visit their market page.

Is this not to do with the announcement that they made a few months back about all coins must provide certain documentation or be delisted? It's probably not volume related because there are some far lower volume coins that are not being delisted. The promising side to this is that it frees up lots of spaces for new and more promising coins to be listed on bittrex, as we've seen in the past months.
You made a reasonable point because the fall of one is the arise of other but my question what will the bittrex to avoid the lost of the delisted coin holder?
They don't really care at all and avoiding such lost of money into its investors would not be a concern for bittrex to think off as long they had already make an announcement towards it that they will delist coins which means it your own choice if you would pull out those tokens and transfer it into another exchange or wallet if you do still wish to hold it off.Dont think about on the concern that they might able to give into coin holders. We have seen this for how many times which this thing aint happening.

I have an account there, but I currently don't hold any coins there. I wasn't aware of that, but maybe it's just because people are getting more picky on the coins they trade, and those coins will probably become worthless in the future. Bitcoin with LN will most definitely kill a lot of bad coins out there. We are also in a down trend market right now, so people only buy solid coins, so those are probably not good bets.

The list of unknown doubtful coins. See nothing bad in removing them. Maybe there were some problems with those coins. I’m not interested in them and don’t want even to check what’s up with them. Don’t understand people who trade such uncertain alts.

Most likely a good move. Not using any of the coins from the list, never heard about some of them.
Bittrex always works well for me, it's the only exchange where I didn't open a support ticket.
Waiting for new coins to be listed there.

Yes, even i never heard about those coins which are on the List. But Bittrex it taking the good move in order to list the fresh coin, maybe the problem they don't have any active behind the project and i check those coins in Bittrex and they don't have any minimum trading volume.

It is a fair move. It can be expensive to run the right infrastructure per coin and you would start to incur losses with low volume and especially on coins with broken blockchains.

You're right, adding the unnecessary things would not be beneficial for them. The expenses that is spent is not worth it for them to take. This make sense for all the exchange which cater larger volume of coins.
Bittrex is now starting to allow new altcoins to be added to its trading site. If bittrex does not want to be isolated by investors because too few altcoin are on this site, they need to change their policy.

bittrex are almost obselete. since i moved to binance, i do not look back.

from poloniex -> bittrex -> binance.

This move by Bittrex can kill a lot of these coins. I think investors holding this coin will in turn sell them in the market. This action will make the value of the coin return to zero. It is so sad for householders and coin makers. Bittrex makes it so difficult to reduce too many poor quality coins.

Yeah it could make those coins turn to zero, but the value of the coins also not really big, bittrex won't delist any coin that got a huge transaction volume and can bring more people to trade, the coin that being delisted are the unwanted coin, so now bittrex will have more space for new coin

Sorry mate but get rid of XRP wont happen  Wink Top coins wont really be putted on this kind of delisting. Checking on the list above there are lots of coins to be delisted which is normal for a certain exchanger to be done. Its not point on storing up those coins if those things havent any trading volume. They are just adding up the population of coins listed on the site, its much better to remove those who dont have any activity/trading volume at all.

Most of the coins they have listed in this one were never known to me and I think most of them used to have very low daily trading volume, so it might have been burden and expensive for bittrex to just keep their node active for transactions. Its better to remove such coins which can be used by some pump groups to scam newbie users in the name of fair pumps.

Good move from bittrex, when they will remove coins from their platform they will have more space to add new coins with better potential.

as I know, to register and enter altcoin (especially the new coins and ICO coins) into the list of coins on an exchange site is costly and maybe the developer is no longer able to pay.

Yes, most especially with broken blockchain that is a whole lot for the exchange to handle. The cryptocurrency space is filled up with a lot of scam coins which is one of the reasons why a lot of investors should be careful in whatever they are putting their funds, so they do not end up bag holding shit coins. It is a good move from bittrex, to at least clean the altcoin space on its platform.

Removing coins from listing is what I want to call bittrex cleaning the whole atmosphere and trying to get rid of coins that cannot really be considered as some legitimate ones. It is a good thing they are trying to do though and I am very certain this is as a result of being in the US and with the number of policies and regulations going on, I am not at all surprised at their actions. Obviously all the aforementioned coins are all shit coins, and anyone holding them should sure be bag holding right now.

Maintaining the wallets of so many coins is a very resource intensive job. And coins with low volume may in fact start eating into their profits, so removing these coins is a fair thing. But with new registrations stopped for Bittrex, the exchange is bound to get low volume in low market cap coins as most of the buyers of such coins are new comers who want better returns on their investment.

i think this is right move on bittrex, why? so developer of these coin is not capable to maintain the volume for their trading on bittrex, although it has listed on very big exchanger like bittrex. So delisting this coin is not affected much on bittrex itself and gives an opportunity to other coin to submit their proposal to bittrex, i think bittrex should do like a community coin of the month just like binance, not just on proposal and join fee. As you see, when bittlex show delisted list, it will dumped hard so much that is has no more worth again, dev need to think twice as they need to recover the join fee to bittrex.

More and more new projects are appearing, and the new coin seems on major exchanges such as Bittrex. The Altcoin does not attract investors and no longer should the transfers eliminated. This is the best way to increase the level of interest of investors to their exchange services.

It is good taken decision. Bittrex has been known for his selected qualified coins that will be available to be traded there. These removing list has been cleared by Bittrex because their dev failed to solve many problem to their Blockchain network traffic. With many competitors coming, those coins who are not attract for investor coming should be out from Bittrex listing.

Bittrex good stock exchange. It can be seen that the team is set for long-term work! Trustworthy. I trade it for more than 6 months, those support answers quickly. The fact that so many shitcoins have been removed inspires investor confidence and a new influx of customers!

First of all my attention to those guys who are quoting the OP's post making it look like weird due to its length. You guys can just quote it and write ~snip~ in the quote by deleting the content of quote. That is understandable to others that you are referring to the OP. This will make the thread very clean to read otherwise it does look jumbo one.

Well, about the bittrex moving those coin out of the list is very good thing because that will help us see more usable coins which are listed and having huge volume of funds. Such coins can help us in proper portfolio while on the other hand we will not be worried about the investment that is being made into shit coins which they are removing.

I leave bittrex 6 month a go because they can't help finish my transaction, delay and stuck always happen to me. When exchange remove their coins, the reason only two. Number one, the coins not profitable again for exchange, number two to protect their system. Exchange will do anything to keep running with powerful services for users to finish their transaction. If bittrex not good just leave it, like me.

The majority of these coins are shitcoins where it doesn't play any role or make any sense in the market. It is bad news for the people who hold those coins. So finally we are left with the quality coins so that is safer for people us to trade.

Finally, A massive clean up by the bittrex team. I've been wondering why some good projects aren't on bittrex. I didn't know several shitcoins were occupying the spots. Believe it or no, These coins along with their little to no volume are part of the reason why bittrex has lost the top spot to Binance exchange.

After the delisting, I expect bittrex to make new listings that could up the trading volume for the exchange. Good thing the team discovered this early enough.

Note that all these de-listings seem to be related to low volume or a non functioning chain, not having to do with the recent statements from the SEC on regulating exchanges that are trading "securities"....according to a recent statement from the ceo of pillar, bittrex and other exchanges are trying to justifiy trading several tokens by categorizing them as "utility" tokens...

MTL is the only one in the list that stands out to me, maybe this one somehow flirts with being a security?

Bittrex are cleaning their exchange, it's a normal action when they seen that the coins is no longer have support or showing of small numbers of support
and volume is not enough to sustain the coins inside the exchange, I see this actions is another opportunities for newer coins that have a lots of potentials,
giving them the slot as we seen more and more new coins that has been created and waiting for opportunities to be in a much bigger exchange like bittrex, lets wait and see after this delisting.

It is a fair move. It can be expensive to run the right infrastructure per coin and you would start to incur losses with low volume and especially on coins with broken blockchains.

I think it only makes sense for Bittrex to removed coins that are not performing well. And this is no big issues, other exchanges also do it. I remember has last year there are some big exchanges who removed or delisted a lot of coins.

The only drawback I heard then is that exchanges didn't informed dev right away, that's why most of them are caught unaware of the said actions and most of them are arguing that they are still doing development at the background that's why the project seems to be quiet.
Of course the bittrex has done a very mature analysis and thought. Removing the coins from the list they have there must be a very strong reason. Most are coins that are not developed yet, although Bittrex is known as a tightly qualified exchange to include the d exchange list, but we do not know when a coin will experience a decrease in performance. This is something reasonable and Exchange Bittrex has started to remove coins that do not have the potential for the future.

One of the strongest reason is they doesn't have any good volume to support their trading ecosystem that's why bittrex management look them as nuissance coin that needed to be delisted for trading at ease reason. And one of the reason why coins get poor performance is due to the dev's fault upon poor supportin on their coins and also the dev scamming reason.

Note: Those with "*" are the only coins that would be delisted. It is also a smart move for bittrex for doing so because there is no need to list coins/tokens that is unable to circulate their supply for that proves how good a coin/token is, when somebody is trading it. I feel great reading this news.

Majority of the coins that Bittrex will remove on March 30 are just shitcoins! It has slow movement in the market. This is waht I like about Bittrex. It is a quality exchange with high security. The coins that will remain in the sites are quality coins. It would be much safer to trade on Bittrex.

Finally they are making move by taking initiative to shred off the shit coins from the market. Obviously there is no point in holding them at all and it also attracts the scammers to do pump dumps activity which is not even legal anyway. Most of the time newbies fall for this and they cant get rid of it until they find themselves in complete loss. Im pretty sure that bittrex has made good move and soon other exchangers will follow the same. I think they are doing for their internal stability which is good anyway as it will help us to choose the good volume coins.  Cheesy

Shitcoins meant to be delisted and this is fair decision so that traders can easily sort on which coin they would like to trade with, and now let see if there would be more potential coin will be added on bittrex since this delisting will surely open a seat for those new comers who want to be added on this site.

Bittrex should need to be more selective and choosy for their next addition so that people could make sure that they will not do trade with those shit ones.

Good. All of them were nothing more than shitcoins, scamcoins and vaporware (I mean, Titcoin? really?). I believe the reason why they're being removed is the low volume, most of them don't even reach 10k or 5k volume in 24h. At least this will let buyers/investors focus on the good and promising projects

Hopefully, other exchanges (Binance or Cryptopia) can take the same approach and start the same purge.

I started to dislike Bittrex because of their shady wallet locks whenever it suits them, but removal of shitcoins is definitely a move in the right direction.
