looks like they have not distributed btg. i see in my bitrex account, btg wallet is not yet available. It's been a long wait so hopefully there is good news about distribution btg from them.

I think Bittrex will only provide support for Bitcoin Gold by crediting all Bitcoin account balances on their exchange. Yeah, they made it clear in the statement that they wouldn't be introducing BTG trading. If you thought so it's your mistake. What I'm not clear on is when we'll be credited. It makes me nervous leaving anything on Yobit but so far they've caused me no issue, and what was essentially a frantic seesawing futures market for a few hours made me a killing. Meanwhile, there's no hint of getting a BTG wallet on Bittrex.
I'm not really having a go at Bittrex. Reading it back, their statement doesn't actually say a specific date. Guess I just figured it wouldn't be too long after the snapshot. My mistake. The price is so low now it's not that important anyway.

Most likely will be the same as BitcoinCash, it was in high price after the fork and started to dump day by day. Just like another free coins, most people will sell it just after they received the coins.
For the people who dislike Bittrex, what exchanges are you using? Im primarily using Bittrex myself and haven't had any issues but its always good to have a backup.
That's good to know then if Bittrex is supporting Bitcoin Gold and I would not have the need to transfer my coins to another exchange if that's the case. When you move your btc to bitrexx because of the fraction you want to get out of the BCG, did you consider the part where you need to move your coins out. Maybe you have not read about their recent policy that no matter the amount involved, if you don't do your KYC, you are not withdrawing a satoshi of the amount you have there.
For me, I think I would gladly pass on their offer after all, they are not the only exchange site providing support for BCG their are several other listed on the BCG website which is a pool to pick from rather than be stuck with verification and KYC brouhaha of bittrex.
So withdrawing the amount won't be a problem for me. Those who have account verification problems can hold their coins in a wallet with private key they own. I wouldn't recommend to put the coins in Yobit as they have a lot of scam coins and less secure than Bittrex.

i don't have to move my bitcoin to bittrex since i am have many coins in there so i will be waiting for the free btg in my wallet
i think there will be many people from now will move their btc to bittrex because they want free coins too like us. and this will make bittrex busy to handle the transaction. but i guess we still have more time to trying to move our bitcoin to bittrex and i am sure that people will do it right now without waiting another time and don't forget, yobit is supporting btg too so we have two option exchanges to move our bitcoin for free coins.

Nice to know and this should be a similar procedure like bitcoin cash - these guys have got experience now.
Bittrex seems to always be one of the first to announce the crediting of tokens that are generated from existing holdings of either bitcoins or else. Though it seems like bitcoin gold devs have not contacted bittrex yet, so they're not going to list a market for bitcoin gold(at least yet).
That means to me that i'd rather keep my bitcoins in a separate wallet that i hold myself, instead of on bittrex. Different story if they had trading.

As has been pointed previously, recent security issues might cause some problems, especially with large btc holders. Safest method remains the desktop wallet/other own wallets. Once the new wallet will be released, it will be easy to transfer.

finally a good news from this exchange. I used a lot because they support a lot of good altcoins that are not listed in other exchange with decent volume.

Of course Bittrex will be adding Bitcoin Gold, all the fees involved are nice for them, it is of course good for most people who do not want to mess with claiming the coin after via wallets and even the dodgy coin exchange websites, send your privkey, yeah right... be careful out there.

No thanks! Bitcoin Gold may at best be worth a few percent of Bitcoin. Trusting an exchange with your Bitcoins is always a risk, trusting them for something this small isn't worth it (to me). I own my own private keys, after the Gold fork I'll separate all my Bitcoins, Bitcoin Cash and Bitcoin Gold (in this order!) into separate addresses. From there, I'll see what to sell and what to keep.The Bitcoin Cash fork taught me once again I can't time when to sell, and right after the fork (during huge dumps) isn't the best moment to sell.

Well they still have other problem on withdrawal thing. So no, i'm not moving my bitcoins to bittrex. I prefer to hold my bitcoins on blockchain wallet because blockchain also supporting the fork right now. But it's a good news though for bittrex user.

I have no plans on moving my bitcoins on bittrex as its been acting weird in the past few days not to mention it is still until now e.g. unexplained disabled accounts. There's a high chance of my account getting disabled if i put my btc's there furthermore they'd decreased their withdrawal limit and they have a high withdrawal fee, I think i'll be getting losses rather than profits. Many people are expecting the same exact thing that happened on bch but that time and today are different. Different coins, different supporters. Still security over profits imo

There's no need to move BTC to Bittrex. This isn't going to be like the Bitcoin Cash launch. There will be a snapshot of the BTC blockchain and the launch will be a few days later. It's not worth risking all your coins on this exchange, especially within days/weeks of the account locking fiasco. Lots of people are still locked out of their accounts (due to unknown KYC/residence/etc issues) and have been for many days now, with no explanation from the exchange.
You can secure your BTC on your desktop wallet. Once the snapshot has occurred, move those coins to another safe address. The empty address(es) will hold BTG and you can import those keys into a BTG wallet once they launch. Safety first! Don't let greed to make a couple bitcents per coin make you sloppy about security!
I am sure bittrex will add this new clone for trading sake.

I am not surpised they support Bitcoin Gold.

Well,that seems to be very surprising.Previously,bittrex had answered to a similar question that they would not answer such questions and if any one wants a coin to be listed in bittrex,then they should encourage the dev to a new coin submission in bittrex.
Definitely,this is a great development and a good news for people who had been longing for free air drop.So now,most of them would deposit their bitcoins in bittrex.
But remember that almost thousands of accounts have been recently banned from withdrawing bitcoins in bittrex exchange.Even they are banned to open support tickets.So,be cautious.
Don't get caught in the desire of earning some free BTG coins.

Bittrex is now supporting the fork and will credit equivalent amount of BTG to our wallets. Finally a good news for us.

I guess its time to move the BTC to Bittrex and wait for the fork to finish. Many people will hold their Bitcoins in Bittrex wallets as they are safer than other exchanges. They provided the BCH very quickly during Bitcoin Cash hard fork and similarly they will be giving Bitcoin Gold now.
