Probably because they are over flooded with account verifications and they don't have enough team members to deal with all of them.
This thread is very old(in crypto terms) and you can't withdraw anything without verification. You can't create new account any more.

You have probably verified account thus you can withdrawn without problems, but people complain that they can't withdrawn if they have a basic account, without verification

I had no problems with bitrex, output 0.6 bits, everything was normal.

That does make sense, they just probably obtain a paper from "high" and now they have to play according their new rules

I just tested it out with .04 Eth, and it says I've reached my limit.

I don't have a new account, I have Google Aut set up, and my limit was grandfathered in because my account was older.

So essentially this means that one must showed them their ID, else your money stays with them.

Same thing here... Had an account with them unverified for almost 3 years... Was happy with everything because I only do small transactions. Yesterday I deposited some btc and purchased 1000 xvg. Now I can't withdraw it. First it said I had to activate 2FA so I did, didn't work. Then I upgraded to basic, still didn't work. So unless I upgrade to enhanced I can't withdraw a single cent. I don't get it how they can take deposits but not give us a warning at the time to inform us that our accounts are not allowed to withdraw. I feel like they stole from me.

Does is say anywhere how much of your daily limit have you used on we need to calculate manually?

My friend did the enhanced verification back then and until now he doesn't has any problem while withdrawing his money in bittrex because the daily limit is 100 btc. He was very lucky to did it before bittrex becomes very strict like now

As fare as I know nobody got verified with basic verification. Everyone has to go threw the enhanced verification process.
Doesn't matter if you live in US or another country. You are forced to do enhanced verification even for 0.1BTC

Deposits are UNLIMITED ! Insane ! It depends if the system can match your ID with the selfie you have to upload and if all infos you entered match your ID !

It seems a lawyer is the only solution. Because Bittrex ignores any questions and all Bittrex authority's
went into hiding! It's okay to change Terms and conditions but then you have to give every
LEGACY user a headsup first with a possibility (until years end) to withdraw coins if you are

I have a small amount there as well and indeed they have now made it 0 for unverified accounts. I have a legacy account and was fine with the lower limits in place before as I only traded small amounts there due to their larger selection of alt coins. I just tried to withdraw a small amount today and it failed. I was last able to do a successful withdrawal on November 1st.

So I go ahead and fill out the information for a basic account and their automated system fails. WTF, I been at same address for many years and I have done similar verification at other more reputable places many times successfully. Now they want me to do enhanced verification to get less than .5 BTC off their site?


This I disagree with as while they can change the terms and conditions, they also need to provide a way to opt out of those terms. Every other place sends an advance notice to you that they are changing their terms and conditions and if you do not agree with them you have the option to close your account and any funds will sent to you. Bittrex is ignoring the law and trapping users funds forcing them to register before they will release them. This is a one way arrangement so how could you agree when you are being basically forced to accept it or forfeit your funds.

As far as solving for layers, yea I think a class action is in order. Hundreds of small amounts do add up considering BTC is now trading at $11k, even half a bitcoin ~$5,500 times hundred or thousands of users adds up quite quickly.

This is the same tactic that Cryptsy used before they folded. They let people trade unregistered for years then the withdrawal problems started. They hid behind the KYC laws and also required verification, but in reality they were just delaying payment as long as they could to make an exit scam. I predict a year from now Bittrex will not exist.

Wrong. Withdrawal of all coins blocked. 0 BTC means 0 in all coins. I tried OMG, XRP, ZEC.

pealr12, you don't get it. On some day Bittrex without any warning just deceided to disable some accounts and to block coins on another accounts.
There is no news letters or something about rules change, no choice for us, just order to get verified, after 3y on that platform.
On my account there are no pump-dump transactions, any bot activity and etc.

And another major problem - if look into others bittrex threads, then you see that verification for now lasts for MONTHS and no one guarantee that it will be successful, they just think up something to decline it and
you have to start your try again.

For me it looks, like Bittrex was hacked recently or they lost much balance somehow and they just deceided get that money by stealing it from unverified accounts.
They think that while we get verified status (several months !!!) they will recover lost funds from fees and all will be happy or just planning to fully scam in that time.

To much fuckery went on with that exchange. Changing terms and banning users. Really?

The answer is so simple just get  verified  using your  government id to increase your withdrawal limit into 100 btc a day.
After that you wont have any problem  everytime your making a withdrawal on bittrex

Sure they can delete your account and take your coins but then they would go into jail for several years.
Proofing transactions is very simple with the blockchain.

Bittrex authority's are completely ignoring customer request and banning people for asking questions where their money is!

Having small amounts on an exchange are not a problem. And cryptocurrency is considered to be an asset in the US like stocks. Just as there is no problem in dealing with stocks, there is no problem dealing in cryptocurrency. Bittrex have invented these rules to seize people's coins.

You mean, that Bittrex is only limiting BTC trading or has different limits on different coins? Then it would indeed be simple to bypass limits on Bittrex.

You will have always to do the extended verification process then
transfer coins and then send a request to delete your account.

I know it's absolutely insane...bittrex changed their rules overnight
without any warning and that meant we could not get our money
 out and they didn't offer any alternative for us either.

Support just says If I want my money I have to do the extended verification process.

outside US has to send a copy of their ID to them. It's ridiculous

Same here. Had my LEGACY Account everything worked fine.
Then without warning the account was turned into a NEW account with 0.025 BTC limit.
After 3 weeks limit dropped down to 0. Now I can't withdraw anything.

They also changed their FAQ page. Limit on NEW accounts are 0 now.
I don't think they can't just change their term without giving everybody
a heads up.

I had a script to withdraw 0.025 BTC everyday and sudently the limit dropped down to 0.

I have some BTC left on it. Basic verification is not working and I'm not trusting a company with this kind of behavior to give them a copy of my ID card.

Poloniex still running until now, when did they shutdown their site? Their daily volume transaction still huge like usual. I hate to say this, but people can only waiting their support ticket get replied because you will never get any reply from Bittrex's support or admin on here.

They have to solve the problems as soon as possible, or the volume of transactions may be reduced. The end can be like Poloniex.

Support system of Bittrex is terrible. My friends didn't  know about withdraw rule and now cannot withdraw. My account withdraw limit is decrease from 3 BTC to 0.4 BTC with any notice.
Hope some whales meet same situation and call bittrex in court.

Most likely not. As stated below, Unverified accounts falls to 0BTC -. 025BTC withdrawal limit, not a fixed .025BTC. And the most important part, It'll be based on your account creation date. Most probably new registered accounts will get 0BTC and the old ones will get .025BTC.
 

Lol. So what did the lawfirm says? If you're planning to file some legal action on bittrex. It will cost you a lot. Think back if spending lots of money is worth it for your new account.

I bet this is not ok legally, well screw it, I am in the same trap right now and I will not give them my personal information unless alongside a lawsuit which will cost them lots and lots of users. once users clearly get presented with the fact that - unless you strip naked in terms of privacy - you will be prevented from access to ALL OF YOUR deposits there. I expect them to change this and point it out very clearly on their website, especially on the "generate address" and "deposit" -related pages.

I already contacted a law-firm and explained what the problem about all this really is.

this is wiggly wobbly BS - none of these articles clearly point the exact case when you can not withdraw ANY funds. which is a reality if you don't strip naked in terms of anonymity at least to some degree, which is not ok for crypto. and it is especially NOT OK to accept ANY deposits or let users generate ANY addresses for deposits, unless the fact that you can not withdraw ANYthing unless you get verified, gets pointed out CLEARLY and most visibly on the page. otherwise this exchange is a trap for user funds. you can send crypto there, but you'll get extorted into forfeiting your anonymity if you want it back. basically they take your money without asking who you are, but they won't give it back without demanding an answer.

ASK the question BEFORE accepting deposits. ffs this makes me so mad. this is fraud and I will let lawyers decide if this is ok, currently they hold some of my funds hostage to this trickery too. (but it is a new account, so maybe I will see some other options in 24hrs)

this also happen to me i already have an like 0.09 in my account it is new. well i deposit it from the exchanger, but the problem is after creating my new account the withdrawal limit there is 0 btc, there is no 0.025  in unverified account it should have 0.025btc withdrawal per day right, my account doesn't have, something is  going on in this exchanger.

It is fishy. Especially as their withdrawal fees are so high. So instead being able to withdraw 1btc with one withdrawal fee of 0.001 btc ($5.85 at a bitcoin price of $5850), you need 40 transactions of 0.025, and the fees add up to 0.04btc which is $234

I suppose you could convert to something like doge to avoid the high fees. But it's not ideal.

I'd advise legacy unverified accounts to withdraw their coins before they get limited.

Pretty easy would mean that you are in a country who have database that can be verified immediately by the management of bittrex so you get to quickly move beyond that point but for someone who is not in a country like that, I tell you, there is no way out of it and the best is to go for the enhanced verification which might still be difficult with respect to the information they are requesting. Anyone who has not used bittrex in a while.should first go there and see things before depositing straight.

Yeah same , im using basic verification from indonesian , but their declined my basic verification and recommend me using upload an identity or password , im trying to verification using identinty , just 5min my withdraw amount increased to 100Btc/Day.

I have no idea why Bittrex have done this but it fucking sucks and the fact that they don't tell you about this when you sign up has to warrant some kind of customer complaint process.

I told a friend to sign up for an account, they transferred a bunch of various assets over, now they can't withdraw any of them without going through Bittrex's verficiation process, which as all of you outside of the USA will know, is totally pointless as ALL non-US verifications fail without supplying serious ID docs (driving license, utility bills etc).

Basically, if you open a Bittrex account, send assets there and then don't verify your account you have just lost your money.

That scenario sounds odd. They will take all the money you can send them (deposits), but will not allow you to take it back (withdraw) unless you do in ,025 BTC fractions? 
Something smells fishy. Hope they didnt get hacked and are buying time. Thats the behavior banks do before customers want out of the collapsing bank in 3rd world countries

Hey just looking for some clarification.  Do you have a "Basic" Bittrex account to have seen this limit?

I just made a new account and it looks like it requires some personal information to upgrade to a basic account, which still looks like it's unverified.

It has been implemented but i don't know when the exact time. To all unverified account , daily withdrawal limit has been decreased to 0.025 btc not 0.02 btc. Just do basic and phone verification about your bittrex account and you should be fine after that.

When is the rule at least WD 0,02btc it ,,? Yesterday I still can WD around 01btc.. Maybe all that is done to minimize money laundering cases, But for the 0.02 btc limit it is too low..

Maybe the minimum amount to deposit won't matter on that since I try to create new and deposit a lot of alts there and they receive my deposits and the only problem I face is when I try to withdraw my BTC and it limit me for 0.02+ a day since my account is not been verified. But when I do little verification on it my limit has been increase and people should do some verification on bittrex to rise their withdrawal limit a day.

Hey guys im thinking about creating a bittrex account.  So if i do not have a verified account, how many bitcoin or altcoins can i send to my account to switch for bitcoin or another altcoin like ETH?  I assume back then you could do up to 3btc in trades per day whether btc to ETH or vice versa?  But now its max 0.025 btc?  Can someone confirm this is what is meant by it?

Maybe they do that one to force their user to verify theirselves to make sure that the people who doing some trades their are legit and not dummy, and those verification thing is occuring on newly built account but if you put some basic information and do some phone verification then you will prolong your withdrawal limits there. And having that a little verification is totally no problem with me aslong as they does not require me to submit my personal I'd.

yeah, something like 2-3 years old. it is basically any account that was created before they started asking for verifications. and remember this is "daily withdrawal" limit. you may as well move 3-4 bitcoin daily and that is a large amount but it is not even 1/100th of the total daily allowed limit.

I just noticed this too, although I have not tried to withdraw my BTC from Bittrex but I am now hesitant to withdraw them. Might try to withdraw a few BTC's to see of I can withdraw more than what is allowed currently, 0.025BTC is such a small amount you can withdraw daily.

Last week I also withdraw my BTC but it was limited to 0.025. I think it's too small.

I don't feel comfortable at all uploading pictures of myself holding an ID on the internet, let alone on some cryptocurrency exchange. As we have seen, all these exchanges are shady by default and could collapse at any time, or someone could hack it and steal your data, and you could be doxed, your pic could be sold on the dark web because your pic holding an ID could be used by other people to try to verify themselves... it's a mess.

This is why I chose to stay as anonymous as possible. I just can't trust the exchanges, specially the altcoin exchanges.

That has got to be it - I dug around but did not feel like putting too much effort into it. I am happy I can use my account as normal but would not be surprised if things force me to verify other details in the near future. I love how the government does not treat crypto as a currency, yet will enforce restraints on it just like it is. My account is same age, i never did any verification and my withdrawal limit is also 1337. My account type just says Legacy, so maybe you did the basic verification and still have Legacy withdrawal limit?

I think it's fair for the security and comfort of bittrex exchanger users.
I don't have a problem with it. Because for account verification is very easy you just need to upload your ID Card.

Mine says this as well however I still have a basic account it says. I have had this account open for over 3 years - is your account nearly this old as well? I am confused by the limit. I move a decently large amount out over the past several days and I had no trouble at all - depositing a BTC was rather slow but it showed up without any additional problems.. I wonder if the feds are cracking down again.. glad I am moving to more cold storage.

I have a strong feeling this is because the US government is pressuring every group/company that's working with crypto.  It wouldn't surprise me if Bittrex was approached, shown BTC-e, and highly suggested they begin to limit actions of unverified users if they want to keep operating.  I'm in the US and it's quite frustrating how antagonistic my government is to crypto.

A newbie account must verify to transfer more than 0.025 BTC. yes this condition they did not display anywhere, but while you are transferring your coins, you will get this error message. Any how you want to do big amount transaction you need to verify your account. So now only provide your id and recent selfie and verify the account. Within few hours your account will be verified.

Still you have an option to withdraw in some other currencies, such as Ethereum for example and somewhere else you can exchange it to bitcoin Ofcourse it is better to verify your account on bittrex for future purpose.

i suppose it is a KYC/AML thing which they set based on USD value of your withdrawal not a fixed amount of bitcoin. that is why it has changed without notice.

checking my account it says i am limited to 1337 (haha leet) amount of daily bitcoin withdrawal. and it was 2000 bitcoin before.

I suppose for all new accounts they dropped the withdrawal limit from 1 BTC to 0.025 BTC.
For the old ones it remains the 1 BTC.

i have a bittrex account same with you i am still unverified user but my cousin use my bittrex to transfer 0.54BTC to his account hassle free... its been 1 month old my account in bittrex and we dont experience this issue even the first time i use it... maybe bittrex have new policy to those unverified user by now....

You should be able to verify your account pretty easily. I vaguely remember the approval for basic/phone verification taking a few min/hours few weeks back. Yesterday, I decided to upgrade my account to "Enhanced Verification" level (the highest level and you can withdraw >100 BTC) and it took me about 10 min. to get it approved. I just had to upload an ID document and a selfie, that's it! It is still much quicker than getting verified on other exchanges such as Kraken/Coinbase/CEX.

I'd advise you to get your account verified just in case you need to withdraw large amounts in the future.

I will not like to argue with you over this issue but i do not agree with you because i am also an unverified bittrex user and i transferred 0.045btc just yesterday here, probably your account is a brand new and you need to wait for 7 working days.
