Bitwala is a good startup, no doubt about this. I am not sure but i think they also own a site where you can spend your bitcoin to purchase at Amazon. Similar to Purse, but without using others members, I mean they buy your item for you and you buy with Bitcoin... Sometime ago they were offering their Bitcoin Debt card, the good thing is they accept other crypto.

Charges of 0.5% is a fixed charge or per a amont cause it will be expensive for many people who transacts high amount daily, maybe you should consider revising it. Also which countries are acceptable, which are not. Any documents needed or what's the verification process. Will you be able to transfer it to bank account? And can you elaborate more on the security features if it's strong enough. Terms and conditions page is also required, and any user has used it give a review.

The 0.5% fees is for the SEPA transfer. They reduced this fees sometime ago as per request from people. It was 1% before. 0.5% is cheap. The good news is they make the transfer very fast

Hi guys,

Bitwala has been around for a number of years and their services seemed interesting to us. With Bitwala's prepaid VISA card, you can turn your Paypal funds to Bitcoin and recently Bitwala allows mobile money transfer to some countries in Africa. They also accept almost all altcoins in their services.

Will they be the future of money transfers? Know more about Bitwala in our article and tell us your comments here. Smiley

No doubt, Bitwala is a great start-up and till now a promising company. We need such sites if we wanna make bitcoin go world-wide and emerge as currency instead of investment. But what is the motive of this post, is it paid publicity or mean to increase post?

Is this service for real? Waiting for days for an answer of my mail and reviewing my verification. Doesn't give me really the need to use it now with these kind of delays
If they are not able to answer to the questions posed by the customers and if they could not satisfy the needs in time then it will be a hard time to get customers,i never used their service to talk extensively about them. But i never saw anywhere that they accepts paypal,i cannot see that in their website about paypal transfer. They do accept all the alt coins and they have a fees to transfer the funds around the globe.

PayPal adds another flat fee at 0.5% of the transacted amount, so this is not really in the spirit of cheap transactions fees. They also added Alt coins like Dash, which strip all anonymity that Dash provides with the integration of it's internal mixer service. ^hmmmmm^

I welcome new services that promotes alternatives for 3rd world nations, but then they should be a improvement on other payment options, not just a service to add more fees for the users.

Interesting to see this come up cause was going to go with wirex and their ecoin debit card but if this works better cause of all the things being discussed in their thread i will go with this service. Bitwala has been around longer than they have so have the experience of running into issues they have just encountered with using the bank system causing them all sorts of headaches.

Since it's another service based around prepaid cards and deposits from other altcoins, I can't see myself making much use of it since I don't really use either of those and by the sounds of it the other services they provide aren't exclusive, but the expansion into Africa is definitely something that they might be able to make use of. The best thing they can do is try to encourage the people there to actual use Bitcoin.

Is it an international service or only in African countries? Do they ship their prepaid cards worldwide like payoneer? And what about their fees?

Please let me know how you can turn your Paypal funds to Bitcoin? I can imagine only the opposite way, you can use your bitcoin debit card in Paypal, to pay with your bitcoins via the Paypal service. You can hardly buy bitcoins with Paypal, because the seller can be scammed really easily, so noone will accept Paypal payment for bitcoin.
