Hi there

Recently a friend of mine brought my attention to an interesting article of a guy who lost $500k at BitZino, see http://www.reddit.com/r/IAmA/comments/1ch7wb/starting_with_almost_nothing_i_made_almost_500000/

This guy said:

I gave bitZino about 6 months of their earnings from last year in just under one minute: http://arstechnica.com/business/2013/01/bitcoin-based-casino-rakes-in-over-500000-profit-in-six-months/

Very interesting I would say if it's truth.

Bitzino ITS SCAM. The second dozen did not apears after 57 spins!! I lose more than 2.2 btc! Fucking scamers...

You seem to have the definition of gambling mixed up with the definition of a scam.

You know what is the probability of 57 spins without the second dozen?

(63,16/100)^57= 0.0000000000042189 or 0.00000000042189%

Yes and...

I am not saying it isn't a scam but this just sounds like standard roulette to me. Just because something is improbable doesn't mean it's impossible.

Roulette system don't work and have never worked. I used to play roulette a lot.

Your best bet is to not bet at all.

Hi everybody,

I am new on the forum and would like to ask a question about BitZino but cannot yet post to https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?PHPSESSID=j1nm0o7k0tqfpdi3sed6rrnod1&topic=87656.660 .

I am playing the BitZino roulette since a couple of months and enjoy it)

Recently I was betting on a six line (six numbers like 1-6 or 4-9) and that six line did not appear after 70 consecutive spins! From my experience with this online casino I learned that it happens quite often that a six line does not appear after 55 consecutive spins. I also "saw" 67 times...

p(success) = 6/37
p(failure) = 1 - p(success) = 31/37
p(failure after n consecutive spins) = pow(p(failure), n)
Failure after n consecutive spins is expected to happen once every 1/pow(p(failure), n) spins

Failure for n=55: once every 16835 spins
Failure for n=67: once every 140696 spins
Failure for n=70: once every 239222 spins

If one spin takes 5 seconds, then failure for n=70 would occur after 239222*5/(3600*24) ~ 14 days of uninterrupted gambling!

My question is how often do gamblers experience similar things in practice and in particular at BitZino? Of course, not necessarily with six lines, it could also be dozens, rows, corners)

Thank you for sharing your experience!
