Good or bad, it's still publicity. Fans of her would be curious, who mostly are in their thirties, the target market. Bjork beat them to the punch. She now will be remembered as the first artist to recognize and acknowledge cryptocurrency.

Bjork fans with a penchant for new payment technologies are likely to welcome news that they can buy the iconic Icelandic musician’s latest album with bitcoin.

The Icelandic singer is also accepting three lesser-known types of cryptocurrency: litecoin, dash, and AudioCoin. Traditionalists can still pay using credit cards or PayPal.

I've never heard of Audiocoin - perhaps it's something she is launching?

Good for her and for those who wants to buy her album but as for me, even though I am not her fan but if I were to buy, I would rather buy using Fiat rather than bitcoin because one month from today or two months, I would have paid more than what I am paying now to her which will then make her richer while me on the other hand bite my finger because my situation will slightly be different from the guys that used bitcoins to buy pizza some years back. I believe we all know the story.

If Bjork becomes a blockchain evangelist - it's ok. But if Beyoncé will follow her example, the end is surely near ))

I guess that's a good thing. It will make more people to look for what is actually bitcoin and why does she wants us to use it to buy her album. The question is , Is Bjork a bitcoin enthusiast haha?

Honestly I do not know Bjork but it is good to know that he will be accepting Bitcoin and 3 other cyrptocurrencies. A star recognizing something as Bitcoin is a big step for people to be aware that there is such thing as Bitcoin in the first place. I also guess that the decision might not be hers alone as they are actually looking for many payment methods in order for their album to sell more.

Buy, sell and store real cryptocurrencies
Kudos to Bjork. It is a nice way to show support to crypto currencies by accepting it as a payment method. With famous people like Bjork helping to advertise, crypto will be gaining more exposure.

Very cool initiative, I hope it works out so that other musicians will follow suit.

Can't say I enjoy her music, but I might have to purchase a copy just to show my support.

Anything to destabilize the monopoly that labels have on pricing and distribution is a good thing in my book.

This is just a publicity stunt and it has nothing to do with the popularization of bitcoin. The same news we heard from Amazon. It seems to me that everyone felt the growing popularity of bitcoin and want on his shoulders to get the opportunity to get into the top news. After another scandal with the offshore, we will see that a lot of rich people will pay attention to bitcoin.

Not a publicity stunt (although maybe a factor), someone who didn't believe in cryptocurrencies wouldn't do it. Her choice of currencies she's accepting suggests she knows a thig or two about the world.

Interesting news. It's nice to see Bjork accepting Bitcoins and some altcoins for her album. It's not first time when she makes something innovative. But when I read these news few days ago, it was written that people will be able to buy Bjork album with cryptos ONLY, and now PayPal is accepted also :/
Audiocoin is actually old coin, launched few years ago. But now Bjork record company partnered with Audiocoin and album buyers will receive some free coins (worth $0.19), if they pay for album with cryptos. I think that Audiocoin just want get better positions in crypto market. It's not well known coin and this marketing campaign can help to become popular.

The Winner Stands Alone
wow Bjork really. hope it's going to influence other musician (indie or major) to buy their album using bitcoin or at least their EP. Generally it's a good news for music lovers and alt crypto enthusiasts. Smiley

Supporting bitcoin payments is a good thing. This suggests that bitcoin payments are gaining ground. However, I feel that she made the payment for the various virtual COINS for the audiocoin advertising. Maybe this is just my personal guess.
