Today I was looking at Black Arrow Softwares website and found out they changed their cloud mining plans. Now their hashing speed starts from 1thash/sec and costs $2000+.Earlier they were from 100ghash/sec and costed $200+.

Why the sudden change,no beginner miners will start with them for that high power and price.

Have you considered that they sold all there 100gh/s contracts and are still selling the larger ones?

Also the 10+ order limit is so that they can ship units faster and deal with less customs issues. They have enlisted some re-sellers to handle smaller orders.

Haha, have to buy 10 X-1?!?!

I was reluctant to preorder even one of them....

Oh,wellz....

EDIT: Fixed drunken English....   Cheesy

If you read their news section, they have stated minersource.net is their reseller. You can buy single prospero x-1 units there, as well as single minions.

This is their statement on their own forum:

Quote
As our company grows we needed to take the decision if we want expand towards retail business or hardware developing. We have concluded that we cannot do everything, therefore we have decided to concentrate on development and let our resellers deal with the retail business.

For this reasons we have decided to raise the MOQ for X1 and Minion ASICs.

Could it be that the majority of cloud miners never clear their initial investment?

Because the majority of those that mine at home clears theirs  Tongue

It seems they've changed their minimum X-1 order to 10 units too!

Must be desperate to raise the $5m needed to produce the ASIC  Wink

They should really rethink their policy on no group buys if they are trying to upsell.

Also maybe consider a referral scheme reward like KnC had. Sell 10 units get 1 free.

Seems more like they are pushing for customers to buy from resellers and are offering a quantity discount to them.

Was thinking about preordering a X-1, but by the looks of it, they're starting to go the way of BFL pretty fast.

I think you are confusing the minion CHIP @ $200 with a miner. That is just a chip no board or anything else.
the Prospero @ $2000.00 is a full miner board/device with 10 chips

A beginner miner should just buy a X1 and run it at home.

When you buy a mining contract you're just buying equipment, getting them to host it, and then gifting it to them when the contract ends.

Could it be they are turning into scam before even starting?
