I have swopped out the GPU and it is definitely the GPU at fault.  How odd that even though there is no load on it - it is only booting the PC.  It boots PC to windows with basic driver but black screens with AMD driver.  Was running zec at 260sols right up until the machine crashed thus no indication that it was failing.  Have tried it on another mobo and that does the same thing.  Nevermind, may go back to mining eth and buy some RX470's...

My friend had almost the same problem.. He got some picture from GPU, but once he put some load on it (mining) the computer freezes and restarts.

I think the GPU has failed.  Odd as it works ok with the default windows driver but not the AMD driver... have also flashed the vbios to the latest version and have the same issue.  Looks like I need to buy a new GPU  Undecided

Hi Guys,

I hope someone can help me.  I have a single GPU rig mining zcash.  The rig has been mining fine for 8 months but then it crashed so I have installed a new hdd with windows 10 and all works fine until I install the AMD drivers, then the computer boots to a black screen.  I have tried crimson 15.12 and the ltest drivers and this is the same.  If I boot to safe mode, remove the drivers and reboot the computer boots ok with the default inbuilt display drivers but ofcourse wont mine...

Any ideas appreciated.
