I have some x1.5 backarrow miners, and i had to reinstall the firmware in some of them when they become inaccessible and reboot doesn't work. This miners aren't good quality miners, also i had two miners that stopped to work for power unit problems.

I am using the cheapest SD card I could get, it's only 4gb. I've tried it several times, and now when I pull the SD card out, it shows the android on it's back with an exclamation mark in a triangle.

Still doesn't seem to be working.

Hello, Shades.

I had a X-1.5 unit with a similar problem: no connection and refused to update the firmware with the microSD card with the Rockchip software. Finally I discovered that the problem was with the microSD card: I was trying to use a 32Gb that apparently is too new for the hardware. Then I bought the cheapest 4Gb card I found on eBay and the upgrade tool during reboot worked flawlessly and the Prospero came back to life. I use the 1.17 software version. And remember to physically unplug the miner with the flashed card inside a few seconds instead of simply rebooting for the upgrade.

I hope this can help you!

Hello all, first post, and hoping someone might be able to help me out here. So here's what I got going on right now.

I'm running several Blackarrow X3's. One, and now two, have stopped connecting to the network, the url is not working, and comes up saying refresh. So far I have tried updating the units firmware, based on instructions here: http://ecointalk.net/topic/2385-x3-system-gone-help-how-can-i-flash-an-image/ and here: http://ecointalk.net/topic/2314-guide-latest-official-ba-prospero-x1-firmware-version-2014-12-19-16-04-v117-v18/

There is no change at all with the unit. The screen works sometimes, usually right after being booted up. The android guy laying on his back popped up once, but not since any attempt to update the firmware. Before I start going through and attempting to swap out board with a different burned unit, what are any options to get this working?

For updating the firmware, I used the Rockchip software, and could get the SD card to take the upgrade firmware option, but couldn't make the SD boot option work. That might be the issue there, but I don't know how to get that working.

Thanks for any help, still learning about how to get these machines to work best.
