The last tournament ended and went into CS:GO history. I wonder if Team Vitality will continue this success in CS2. Zywoo has a long career ahead of him. He enjoyed winning, now he will want to repeat it in new tournaments. We have many good memories in this 19-year-old game, which is constantly being developed. Now CS2 will come with new changes. Now we are all waiting for the new game to come out. I think everyone said they'd say about the tournament. See you in the next Major tournaments. I'm closing the thread.

The host team Team Vitality won the tournament. The final matches were exciting and finished 2-0. We would like to watch a 3rd map, but GamerLegion couldn't win a single map. Even being in the final was a surprise to many. Team Vitality, on the other hand, became the new favorite of the tournament after the big favorites were eliminated. This wasn't surprising. Thus, the last CS:GO Major tournament was completed. Congratulations to the champion.

There was no reason Team Vitality didn't win at home in this Major, the scenarios they wanted came true one by one. There are two experienced players in the team, Dupreeh and Magisk, who have never had enough of the Astralis Major. No need to talk much for Zywoo. He is claims blast.tv Paris Major MVP medal

There was not as much competition as I expected in the final match. Especially in the grand final, IM started the game very well on the Nuke map. He thought he would stay on the decider map towards the beginning of the match, but it didn't happen.

The final is being played right now. Team Vitality won the first map. They played a very comfortable first map. The morale in GamerLegion is down, but I don't think the team that made it to the finals will leave 1 map without a win. Nuke is being played as the second map. I always hope to see an extra map in the finals, let's see if it will happen this time.

In the quarterfinals, Heroic and Team Vitality were my winning picks. I thought GamerLegion would pass the round, but at the last moment I replaced it with Monte. Monte couldn't give what was expected this time. Team Liquid, on the other hand, had been good so far, but couldn't pass Apeks.
Team Vitality appears to be one of the tournament favourites, as hosts. Heroic is my favourite. They passed the FaZe Clan without difficulty and showed that they are ambitious in this tournament. The final of these two teams can be impressive. Those who tried to make Paris coins Diamonds lost their chance in the 2nd round. Very few people will be able to get the Diamond coin.

The Legends Stage is over now.

Heroic and Team Vitality advanced with 3-0.
Team Liquid, Monte and GamerLegion advanced with 3-1.
Apeks, Into The Breach and FaZe Clan advanced with 3-2.

Natus Vincere, Fnatic and Ninjas in Pyjamas was eliminated with 2-3.
ENCE, Bad News Eagles and G2 Esports was eliminated with 1-3.
9INE and FURIA Esports was eliminated with 0-3.

Such matches were played that almost no favorite team remained in the quarter-finals. Underdogs won in too many matches. With BO1 these can happen. Now the quarter-finals have started and the matches are played as BO3. That's why you can't go to the semi-finals without winning 2 maps. Here the luck factor is a little less.

It was a big surprise that teams like NaVi, Fnatic, NiP, G2 were eliminated early. The matches are very exciting. Everyone wants to win the last CS:GO tournament.
Quarter final games go on now. You can watch matches here: https://www.twitch.tv/blastpremier
That Monte vs NaVi grudge match was insane for the right reasons! Just saw Woro2k and DemQQ clobber the lights out of Simple and his team, and it's so satisfying after the beef they had on twitter where Woro2k seemed to predict that he'd step on Simple's name and team soon. And this being the final tournament before GO becomes CS2 just puts so much salt on the wound. I hope after this, Simple works on his ego and the way he treats his teammates. It's clearly the problem here considering sdy, a previous teammate of theirs was able to win 16-2 with Monte after being kicked out of NaVi cause they thought he was the problem, well this game just solidifies that it's Simple and his negative attitude. Anyways, playoffs is coming soon, hope to see more from Monte, but my money's still on Heroic and Vitality.

My Legend stage selections were completely messed up, yeap, when I looked at the choices later, I realized that they were not very good. They weren't very good choices, I knew Vitality was on the rise, but I thought there would be some surprising results. Anyway, Major continues at full speed. I have confirmed my final pick'eml preferences.

I also made my selections for the champions stage. I assumed he would win at Major Vitality home, Zywoo should continue to perform very well.
I think the hardest match at this stage will be Liquid-Apeks. Apex was my choice. Monte is a very fit team, I followed what they were doing to Navi. He was so bad in the S1mple Monte match that it might be his worst performance in recent times. Monte is a pretty good team, as I said, they didn't even let a player like s1mple play. In my last choice, I chose Heroic on the faze-Heroic side. Faze even came here with the support of a little luck. In particular, they had a very bad time in bo1 matches.

Vitality and Heroic's already secured for the Playoffs. From the looks of it it would seem as if these two teams are gonna go up against a little more often in the next few legs of this tournament considering how they are smoking the teams that they have gone up against. I don't have high hopes for G2 considering they are already in a 1-2 standing and that doesn't usually translate well in the long run. Tournament's coming up tomorrow, hope the abovementioned teams continue the streak in the next few matches, and for god's sake I hope Team Liquid performs a little better. Kind of expected them to win a lot especially against these teams. But whatever.

Many matches ended unexpectedly in this round. Tier 2 teams played very well and had many surprises. Very few people can make it through this round of Pick 'Em picks.
Heroic and Team Vitality beat this round with 3-0. I was expecting teams like NaVi, G2, NiP for 3-0 but it didn't happen. FURIA Esports and 9INE were eliminated by 0-3, while ENCE was eliminated after being paired with NiP in the final series. The qualifying continues, we will write the detailed analysis when the round is over.
We see that many of the favorite teams in the tournament are in the elimination phase in this round. I wonder which ones will be able to bounce back from 1-2. Fnatic, FaZe Clan and G2 Esports have been the teams that have been the biggest disappointments.
The fact that it's Best of 1 may have also been effective in this, but it's clear that top tier teams have problems with focus and motivation.

Being the Best of 1 is always an advantage for non-favourites. Because he feels pressure on the favorite team. We saw the accuracy of this in the match results. NaVi and G2's game failed me.

I watched the Fnatic vs G2 match. On the Vertigo map, G2 came from behind but Fnatic didn't give up and won the map. Fnatic played the end of the match very well. The next matches are open to surprises.

This time we were very wrong in the Pick 'Em choices. NaVi, FaZe and G2 have been the biggest disappointments. When the matches are BO1, the margin of error decreases. NaVi made 1-1 while the other two teams finished the first day with 0-2. It's very difficult for them to come back to the tournament from here. I regretted not choosing Team Liquid and Team Vitality. They continue with 2-0. Heroic and Monte likewise won two matches.
Favorites like NIP and Fnatic and teams like Apeks and Ence closed the first day with 1-1. It was really hard to choose this round. Into The Breach and Bad News Eagles surprised everybody. GamerLegion, which many expected to make 0-3, beat NaVi in the first match, and I think they made the biggest surprise.

I got pretty consistent results in my The Challengers Stage Pickem selections. Only 2 of my choices were wrong, they are OG and Forze teams. We went to the Legends stage, the matches start tomorrow. The first match will be played between Navi and Gamer Legion. It would be an easy match for Navi. I've read that a lot of people prefer 3-0 Navi wins and Gamer Legion preferences for 0-3 losses.

My preferences were as follows for Legend stage; 3-0 G2 wins I chose 0-3 Into the breach. My seven choices below are Ence, 9ine, Monte, Fnatic, Navi , Faze , Heroic. I wish it was just like my first Challengers Stage Pick'em.

Excited about the Legends stage. NaVi and ITB are currently the teams I am eyeing at for this last Major, with G2 and ENCE on the runners-up should the first two decides to fuck things up and just drop out of the tournament. Surprised that OG didn’t qualify to the next stage though, as I believe they have decent firepower and strats in their bag.

I don’t know much about Monte except for sdy, but damn, they managed to qualify compared to Mouz and OG whom a lot of people are expecting to at least not get eliminated that fast.

The Challengers Stage is over now.

ENCE and G2 Esports advanced with 3-0.
Apeks, FaZe Clan and Ninjas in Pyjamas advanced with 3-1.
Monte, Team Liquid and GamerLegion advanced with 3-2.

FORZE Esports, Grayhound and paiN Gaming was eliminated with 2-3.
Complexity, The MongolZ and OG was eliminated with 1-3.
MOUZ and Fluxo was eliminated with 0-3.

It was a surprise for me that MOUZ was eliminated without ever winning a match. It's normal for Fluxo to be eliminated because they were really bad. I expected OG to play better, that team was also a huge disappointment. I thought The MongolZ would lose 0-3 but they won against GamerLegion. FORZE Esports was my other choice, they didn't make it to the next round.
I got 5 wins in my Pick 'Em picks. It's going well for now.
I watched many matches in this round and got a general knowledge about the teams. There have been big differences in teams since the last tournament. Now, it's necessary to carefully examine the teams that have just started the tournament.
All of the teams that came out of the Challengers Stage, except GamerLegion and Monte, seem to be strong enough to push the others.
The tournament is taking a one-day break and we will have time to make our Legends Stage predictions.

It has been announced that the Blast.tv Paris Major tournament will be the last CS:GO major tournament, as Counter-Strike will continue with the name Counter-Strike 2 with the switch to the Source 2 engine in the summer. As you said, this increases the importance of the tournament even more.

We are currently waiting for the legends stage in the tournament. My predictions are not good so far so I continue as a spectator, I don't bet.

I wonder how the teams that manage to constantly participate in tournaments will perform when they switch to the Source 2 engine. Because I have experienced the game in beta phase and it can really make a big difference in the way the teams play.

ENCE and G2 started the tournament very well and advanced to the next round with 3-0.
So far MOUZ and Team Liquid have been huge disappointments, MOUZ eliminated 0-3 and Team Liquid lost first map after 0-2. I thought Liquid could beat Fluxo in Game 3 but they played the Nuke map so badly. Especially EliGE was unexpectedly bad from him. When they were on the T side, they couldn't provide map control and Fluxo started winning rounds in a row.
I thought The MongolZ would do 0-3, but they managed to win the 2nd map. They defeated GamerLegion at Inferno. My Pick 'Em predictions were compromised. Grin

The event I've been waiting for has begun, Blast Major Paris. Good timing to make some correct guesses and play games. It's a good activity to play games, I usually don't miss the majors. I started watching the matches to analyze. I made my predictions because I got a Paris viewer pass, I must say that I am doing well for now.

My Pick'em guess is that the G2 team will win 3-0, no doubt. They've already done 2-0, an easy stage for G2.

For the team that will lose 3 times, I chose fluxo after being stuck between Mongolz and Pain. It is enough to make 5 correct guesses, passers know., I guaranteed two. There are teams such as Faze, Ence, Monte and Forze in the teams that will go on tour. I think it will be easy.
