OK...thanks so much. I'm gonna try the reverse fan idea. Who knows? I'll take a looksee at my circuits while I'm at it. I know my PS has the stuff to run them. Gotta a 800 running them and they worked before we had one of our famous afternoon storms. It was just a flash in the pan type but that's when theses stopped mining at either speed consistantly. It's crazy....start...get up speed for a bit...stop...back to speed...stop. It's driving me nuts. Anybody know what particular part controls the temp shutdown and will that cause my symptoms if they got zapped? If I knew...I'd find a way to fix it. I can use a solder pen. I know they tend to run hot anyways, but I've got these cooling fairly well. Gonna lose my hair and at my age...that isn't a good thing. lol

Thanks all!

I'm in FL and had the same problem, totally took apart and cleaned, same issue.

Then I reversed the air flow of the fan for the heck of it, then just worked?

If you look at the traces where the power connectors are and the fuse you will see the fuse doesn't protect all of the power suppled...

I tried 100A server supplies and they would go into failsafe when the relay tripped, make sure your power supplies are beefy enough!

HOWDY,

You mean to tell me that with all the people we have in this room.......NOBODY has any ideas for me?  Comon guys....cut me some slack and put on the thinking caps.  Heck...I just changed routers and that didn't work either. My head is spinning.

Thanks!

Hey,

Thanks for the reply. Funny, I thought the same thing, as I did have a cat. She just died recently.  Cry  However...after a thorough clean....still no difference. I do live in FL USA, which is like the lightening capitol of the world and wonder if they got a poke. One of the 30amp breakers/fuses in the back was pretty melted, but working. I changed it anyway. Same shit.....they mine until they reach speed.....get 'declared sick',  Cry  hang there until about a 3min later reset....then mine again. I end up with only 22Gh when the clock rate is set to high (and I usually mine low, which is even worse). It's one big loop. I can't figure it out. Would like to buy a couple of the base control boards but not a single one listed, that I can find. I'm not even sure if I can build something with these that will operate.

Look....I'm not a geek, but I am a techie. Definition: Geek can write the code and put the thing together. Techie can get it to work, take it apart and tweak it a bit.  Both have their place in the bigger picture. My picture is BROKE.

Comon GUYS.....somebody has gone thru this. Fess up and let me in on the secret. How do I fix?    Huh

Have you tried cleaning it?

Mine got its knickers in a knot last month and refused to work until I took it apart and blew all the cat hair and dust bunnies out of it.

Hey all,

Gotta problem with my 2 Cubes.  Huh  I have 2 that mine, but shut-down for about 2 minutes as soon as they reach rated speed. Does it in CGminer and BFGminer. CG just sits there, BFG gives the dreaded 'declared sick' error. After about 2 min. they start mining again,  and so on and so on. I don't have any 'x's showing, so it's not the chips/cards. I tried different power supplies. They are good. I suspect my control base boards got zapped causing them to temp shut-down and reset.  Sooooo,

1. Anybody got ideas?
2. Where can I purchase just the base board?
3. Are the blades usable in a different setup?
4. Am I screwed?
5 Do I now own a couple of expensive paperweights?

Any help would be useful.

Thanks,
