I guess that one of the great uses of the blockchain, is the possibility of having a complete decentralized platform where it's users can use whatever it offers, and trust in it's data without the need for a third party to confirm that the data in that platform is legit.

If you project has any needs for that, then I guess you could try to develop it on the blockchain. It's applications are quite large of course, because it's easy to have the need for secure and trustworthy data, without any bureaucracy complicating things. Voting systems, any type of certifications (college degrees, art certifications, shipments data, etc), and many other things. So I guess it would be easy to try to secure some form of data on your area of expertise (Atmospheric Physics).

For some time now, I have been very curious about knowing how the blockchain harmonises with what I'm doing currently (I'm a graduate student of Atmospheric Physics). Since blockchain is relatively new, I've been thinking of ways to incorporate the technology in my project. Also knowing that there are other professionals on this forum, what efforts do we make at applying the technology in our jobs. Are there people experimenting with blockchain on their personal projects? I'm very curious to know ways the blockchain can be used to drive innovation. Any ideas?
