Taken courses to get knowledge is good step but you should check their track record before join. Pay or not pay is relative depend your mindset and money. The difficult is about become developer, you need vision, plan and team work. You can't do by yourself and about the risk, do you have back plan about it? I appreciate your will and just advice, keep going and be careful. Take your best part in crypto and good luck to you.

indeed learning does not have to require capital money and learning only needs volition because if they do not want to learn something new and do not want to understand the information then they will never be able to, take advantage of existing facilities to learn something so that from those who do not know it will become known.
let alone learn for something new which has a good future, then we must learn so as not to miss the progress of the times. I'm sure the blockchain will grow and be needed by many companies, so that it can be an opportunity for us to make money if we already know it first

If you want to learn about blockchain, it's best to search for free documents at google, or you can easily search for cryptocurrency-related channels on youtube and search for video tutorials about blockchain and the whole this market. Never look for paid courses because they are completely pointless and a great waste

You can go for udemy courses they start as low as $10. One my colleague who is now freelancer in ethereum smart contracts learned solidity from there.
If you have good interest with this type of learning you can go with this kind of paid education then to adds up to your knowledge you can also watch more Videos from YouTube and keep your learning continuously. This kind of passion will give you good chances to land stable job or profitable extra source of income.

if you really study well, you certainly can become a blockchain developper. the course will only give you a basic explanation and the continuity or depth of the material, it's up to you. so the important thing is you like blockchain, then learn more.

The more I read about blockchain technology, the more I become confused. So I have decided to take blockchain courses. But I am completely naïve about programming concept and the likes. What are prerequisites to enroll in the courses? Can I become a blockchain developer? Please give suggestions.

I don't think blockchain have a good courses yet since it's developer is still few and the technology is quite new so i think not really much people already mastered it and ready to teach other people. Moreover from the non IT person i think it's hard to become a blockchain programmer it's better to learn basic algorithm first, or some basic java courses to train our logic and programming language and concept

Did you know that some dont have enough knowledge such as coding but were able to do it? Google is one secret to it, just learn by yourself using the internet cause every knowledge now can be absorbed and get from searching. I did this by searching all the things in order to learn blockchain more. I guess its up to person if he can focus and do it well. But joining blockchain courses or short term learning is also cool.

i learned one thing becoming a hobby blockchain engineer over the last few years:    Your basically just a full stack engineer, but using your skills for blockchain shit Tongue
you dont need to learn anything specifically, except maybe solidarity, but you SHOULD already know how to program WELL b4hand, BTC code itself is not very noob friendly (imo)
learn C well, C++, as thats btcs code, then go from there Smiley  good luck and Welcome!

For me, just to understand the basics of blockchain is enough to googling it. There are so many that provide articles about it.
But if you want to be a developer, this is very difficult in terms of coding, which if we learn on our own will take a very long time. I'd better take a course. After you are proficient, I think you have the opportunity to become a developer because it is only a matter of courage to start after studying well.

Where exactly do intend taking the course? If it is online, you might not really have much exposure to the practicals, but if you can find a true institution that is physically present, you might have access to lots of things that will be of help.

You can become whatever you want by your hard and soul. I'm talking it because this is so hard to do. Before you become a blockchain developers you should learn normal programming first. Personally I believe you can do if you put your mind in it. I'm happy for you because you have different choice.

I myself would love to take blockchain courses, but I have never seen anything worthwhile. But even if something appears, it’s not a fact that I may like it.The technology is interesting to everyone, but there is a lot of complicated and tedious work behind it. This is not suitable for everyone.
Well there are courses about blockchain and elaborate a more detailed technology that lies under the blockchain and most of the courses are provided by the likes of Ivy Leagues university which is quite expensive indeed but if you got certification and knowledge it'll be worth it. as complicated ads blockchain courses could be, it need effort to learn and will definitley not wasting your time.

It's like the IT department that isn't only focusing with programming but you could get a position where you're like the consultant as a developer. Being a developer doesn't mean it's just all about the programming, you can be a manager or any help outside the programming task.

I guess there's no prerequisite for those courses but if you want to get involved in the programming then start to learn code first. But if not, you can take courses related to it but start with the basics.

I see a blockchain course here in the University of Nicosia. This was the first university in the world to accept Bitcoin as a payment for enrolling and was also the first university to create it's own blockchain and crypto currency course. If you have a Bachelor's degree, you can get an MSC with this course here: https://www.unic.ac.cy/blockchain/msc-digital-currency/
It is very good to know that you can do these kind of courses and become an expert in blockchain technology and cryptocurrency. I am too old now to go back to school as I feel I know enough already that is serving me well in this field. Other younger folks might want to try it.

You don't need to learn programming completely specific to blockchain-related things if you're just starting out with programming, and it might actually work to your benefit if you're first learning more general things and later narrowing down to more blockchain-related concepts as you'l be able to comprehend and learn things more rapidly than if you were completely new. You certainly could become a blockchain developer, but it's going to take a significant commitment in the form of time just like with learning any new skill.

A simple search for 'blockchain programming' on a search engine like Google or whatever search engine you use by default should yield plenty of guides and courses too.

You can find a lot of free videos on youtube, a lot of material here on the forum.
Paid courses are not at all better than free ones, in fact in many cases they are only covered and poorly organized.

It depends on what faucets of blockchain you want to learn. Each with different but related requirements. I think if you want to be a developer, knowledge of programming is essential. But there are many courses that target only the required stuff so you can't pursue your interest right away. Their are many courses online that can help you with your needs but the internet also has plenty of resources for free.

It is a good decision to want to go further in the blockchain. But like already stated, you need to be passionate about the blockchain and also be grounded with the basics of blockchain, then you should have programming background this will help a lot then you could find online courses to build your capacity.

I think this is a good decision for you. But I will tell you, programming is quite easy for those who are really fond of learning things. You will never stop studying programming languages because it evolves through time. Well, to be a Blockchain Developer, you really need to have background first on different languages such as Javascript React and other advanced languages.

It seems to me, as in any business, you need to understand what you need it for and what exactly you want because the question is vague. In order to be a blockchain developer it is not necessary to have knowledge in all areas of programming, it is enough to find people with whom you are on the way and who have knowledge in the necessary areas.

I would suggest you to check 'Ivan on tech' block chain course. I got the some idea how blockchain works through that course and also with some Udemy courses. But before that I had experience in web programming technologies like PHP, JavaScript, HTML, CSS etc. I think it made me little easier to learn blockchain.
Maybe you can also try the same path or you can start with some basic programming skills with C or C++.

If you just want to have general knowledge about blockchain then online courses will be more than enough, not everyone could be an expert so it will take time to understand these things but for being a blockchain developer you have to take courses from any of the university in your country.

The most basic thing about learning blockchain technology is none other than you can learn for free on google search. I only understand a little, thanks to this forum and Google about blockchain technology. because in my area there are no specific courses, and right now I'm also looking for that course. because lately I am increasingly aware of the importance of blockchain for the world.

if you don't have a basic programming it seems to be difficult for you to be a blockchain developer, because usually if you don't have a basic knowledge it will be difficult to understand the blockchain, online courses will spend your time and not help you can be a developer even I have tried it before you, it never works, you should look for people who understand the language of the program and teach you directly and also introduce about the blockchain, I think you will more easily become a developer

Try visiting the coursera website -

https://www.coursera.org/search?query=blockchain%20basics&
https://www.coursera.org/learn/wharton-cryptocurrency-blockchain-introduction-digital-currency

You can search more of the related topics and choose what suits your needs.

They have a lot of blockchain courses. But I suggest, start from the very basic. That would be a significant foundation on advancing your knowledge especially if you want to be a developer. You can't achieve that overnight, it will take a lot of hard work and effort to learn things.

If you want to learn about a course about blockchain you can learn it yourself or if anyone knows in your area then you can learn there, but in my opinion a search on google is also more complete about how the blockchain works as long as you continue to learn from the start, I'm sure You will know better if you study it correctly, but if you still want to course with people maybe you can look for it in this forum.

Can I become a blockchain developer?
You cannot become a blockchain developer by just taking blockchain courses and if you're still confused about the basic understanding of the blockchain network, then you have a long way to go in becoming a developer. You need to take this courses because you need more understanding about the bitcoin and blockchain network, not because you want to become a developer.

Then at the end of the course, you can grade yourself and the extent of the knowledge you've gained, is it substantial enough, are you really a technical guy that can actually become a developer, you'll make the decision yourself, but the course will impact in you whether you're a developer or not.

You need to have some knowledge about codes and how they works. And whether you are to work for some specific blockchain or create your own.
Different blockchain uses different and sometimes multiple of programming languages.
Javascript would be the basic to start with. Python could be a easy way forward as it's becoming more popular among blockchain developers.

I used to get confused when I learned about blockchain, but because I often read and analyze logically, so I understand a little about how blockchain works, and anyway where I live nobody provides a course about blockchain.

2. https://www.howtotoken.com/career/top-10-courses-for-blockchain-developers-recommended-by-experts/

I'm not a developer but I read a suggestion in our local board that if you are planning to become a developer, you need to know the foundation first (Logic & Syntax) before you go to more complex stuff.

You can as long as you have basic knowledge about the programming. To understand more about blockchain course and you must know about the programming. 100% blockchain will be related to the programming.
If you don't have basic knowledge about that and it's better to learn the basic learning about programming before try to take the blockchain couses. But that is a mandatory when you are wanna going deeper to the blockchain ecosystem and not only wanna understand about the basic knowledge of the blockchain.

Depends on your course as blockchain developer is a broad term. If i remember correctly "ivan on tech" was doing courses for complete beginners, i can't vouch for them but i was going to try those later when i have time. But i am guessing that you will find free courses as well just by googling them.
