i tried msi and same problem. vega cards are a little bit tricky to work...
i have some rx570/580 rigs and i use msi but you can't here.

I think we cant flash vega strix 56 for the moment because memory is hynix and vega 64 strix are only with samsung memory.

if somebody succeed tonflash them,  send me the link !

I have strix 56, using block chain plus overdrive. I don’t remember my settings as I am away. Meanwhile what are your clock speeds at various levels? I think I have 1250 odd at 7, mem at 925/950.

it works fine and i put 852/800 cpu and 925/900 mem on level 7   , and 1200w for 7 cards and 275mhs
but only under standard drivers.

when i try the same settings with blockchain drivers i am above 1800w !! don't understand why.

hi !

im using vega 56 strix with standard adrenalin drivers mining ETH at 40mhs and 175w on the wall per card gpu core at 852mhz and memory at 925mhz.
i use overdriveNtool to set clocks and lower the power consumption.

standard adrenalin drivers are ok for ETH but not for cryptonight with castXMR mining, only at 1200h instead of 1800-1900.

but the problem is, when i try to remove drivers (with DDU) and install the blockchain drivers, setting the same clocks with overdriveNtool or wattman, i can't reach 175w per card, it looks like overdriventool cannot set the clocks properly and cards are running at 250w or more !

castXMR is working nice with 1850 per card but same thing, power is huge ! and clock/voltage settings are the same as before...

is there anybody who can tell me where is the problem with these asus vega56 strix and blockchain drivers Huh

Try MSI afterburner, it works perfectly with my 570s and blockchain driver.
