"What are great ideas for crypto/bitcoin/blockchain that are interesting to work out and could become very helpful for the world?"

to answer this question, you should try a lot of crypto stuff, and you will find some problems to solve.
you will find common problems and segmented problems. You can start the project from that, I think.
it sounds simple but complicated to be realized.

however, you have a plus point already with your age. You are young and still have a lot of time to learn.
for now, you can just learn blockchain and crypto, you will find people with the same interest that you can collaborate with.

I suggest you start making content. the world needs educative content about blockchain and crypto in a simple and short way.
I believe you will grow from that.

First of all, thanks for your reply! I'm really happy to be on this forum : )
I think I will start with something like building a website about blokchain and bitcoin, just for myself to learn from and hopefully (you never know) it will be a helpfull site for other people.
When I start with it I'm sure I will be posting something about it here again, to get some feedback and stuff.

There are a lot in different ways.

On the basic side, you can create a website that contains basic knowledge of cryptocurrency.
Create a cryptocurrency guide
Create a YouTube guide
Create a game guide

These require an experience first before you make it but I think you want to push yourself to contribute also I suggest to more often visit around here on our forum there are plenty of knowledgeable members to help with your problems and questions.

If you want to contribute to the growth of bitcoin and blockchain in the future, the only thing that is stopping you is yourself, learn things along the way, you will need to find a course or vocation that you can use to make money and at the same time contribute to what you are passionate about. Your age is not a problem, everyone can contribute although it varies in degrees. You can share your ideas in this forum to make an inspiration for developers on what they should create, learn programming to become a developer yourself and make your own ideas come true. You could explore the idea of block chain being used as a tool for online free market, like how Silkroad pioneered the idea.

Welcome to the forum first.  Wink

My question now is: "What are great ideas for crypto/bitcoin/blockchain that are interesting to work out and could become very helpful for the world?
You can become a crypto writer. Since you're still studying, you can take spare of your time learning new technologies about blockchain and as well as cryptocurrencies of your choice. Start making content that with what you're visualizing with bitcoin and why you believe that it has a great forum.

With your goal of helping others to know bitcoin and at the same time work on it, you hit two birds with one stone.  Tongue

I'm a guy who is 16 years old and I'm interested in crypto/bitcoin since 2017. In two years I will go to university and I think I am going to do a study that has something to do with economics because I like learning about monetary systems and stuff.
That makes us two.  Smiley

Now the thing is that I really want to do something with crypto later in my life for work and I want to help Bitcoin grow in the world (I really think it has a great future for everyone in the world).
Well you have to define on what fields of crypto you want to deal with. There is the economic one, which is very interesting, especially if you want to study it. For example, if you study about investing, which is profitable, you'll need to know more about bitcoin and cryptocurrencies. I believe that digital currencies will be the new era for investors. On the other hand, we have the technical level, which is also interesting. Bitcoin consists of some complex terms of cryptography. Once you begin learning, it never stops being boring.

My question now is: "What are great ideas for crypto/bitcoin/blockchain that are interesting to work out and could become very helpful for the world?
Let's leave cryptos for a while, because this requires lot of discussion. Well bitcoin is a currency that makes human freer. Blockchain is an idea of information that isn't controlled by anyone and everyone have the same rights upon it. Knowing those, you can make your own assumptions.

Welcome to bitcointalk. The more you'll stay here, the more you'll learn.

You want to become an economist right then you no need to learn graduate courses about blockchain. You can learn about blockchain with online courses itself which is available on lot of sites like Udemy and heard even google offering it for free of cost.

You can become an influencer in the economic field to help the growth of bitcoin because not much of economists don't understand what is Bitcoin and blockchain so they refuse to accept its adoption and also keep spreading bad about Bitcoin.

You can work on theories and papers that are in relation to bitcoin or blockchain.

Here are some questions that you can wonder that can help you if you want to pursue economics. What is their impact in a economy that has a bitcoin its circulated economy? Will a cashless economy be a viable solution for the long term survival of a country?

Interesting questions, will definitely have a look at it!

You still have time to think twice before making a final decision. You are 16, when you turn 17, you'll understand that you are absolutely better than you were 1 year ago, same will happen when you turn 18 and during this timeframe, your visions may change.

I don't know where you live and what's the university you want to enter but consider that in 90% cases, you'll see two type of lecturers: 1. Who doesn't know anything about bitcoin and 2nd - Who will claim that this is the coin that's used in darknet, to fund terrorist, etc. But prove to them that you know more and they are wrong in this case!

Btw for ideas: Blockchain technologies can be implemented in many things and they can be extremely beneficial (for example land title registry).

Yes I'm trying to learn more everyday, that's one of the reasons why I'm on this forum. I realise that I'm very young in the crypto world and a lot of people of my age are not paying any attention to it.

I live in the Netherlands and i'm going to an University here somewhere. I already read on Twitter that I shouldn't expect many positive things about crypto on the University, but I'm ready to prove them wrong ; )

Thanks for your reply!

Start learning, and over the years you will have enough information to write a small book that talks about the effect of inflation, the extent of the problems of centralization in money and is decentralized money that will change the world?
The idea that Bitcoin is an investment or a hedge against risks keeps us away from the most important point, which is decentralization, so it is better to teach future generations how to maintain the decentralization of the network because sooner or later the countries will create digital money.

You have a point for sure, a lot of people see Bitcoin as an investment. Of course it's cool when you can make some money out of it, but the decentralized money can build our future (I believe) and that's the most important part for the world. I have already been thinking about maybe starting an platform to inform people about Bitcoin and the blockchain, but I thought there would already be to many that are probably better hahaha. Thanks for your reply, I appreciate it!

There are a lot of ways to make bitcoin grow... You can help as a developer creating more software for the coin, but I understand that is not an option for you, so, you can do some analysis to the markets trying to predict what will be the next coin steps.

If you study economics then you can start an Investors Wallet, and manage all the investor's money while you promote the cryptos. Just ask yourself what you want to do, and if it has bitcoin involved then for sure will help the bitcoin community.

Hmmm thanks for your reply! Starting an Investors Wallet sounds pretty cool, could definitely be something for me in the future.
Fortunately I still have plenty of time left to think about great ideas because I'm 16 years old and I can't start things easy before I turn 18. But I'm sure it will be something where Bitcoin is involved.
