Free coin? And you only need is to sign up and register. Sounds good right?I am already a victim of that kind of scam. So be careful in giving your personal information in return of free coin. Make sure that you did not give your personal information like password or private key. Always think your security before dealing to any promo like this.

Blockchain.com is a quite trustworthy company and the XLM-airdrop is not scam.
However you'll have to submit your personal documents to get KYC-verification in order to receive your XLM.
At the moment it might take quite long for your documents to be reviewed and there's also the question if the 25$ is worth submitting your personal documents (but as mentioned before: blockchain.com should be quite trustworthy and I wouldn't really expect them selling your data).
That is actually my own major concern, is $25 actually worth you releasing your personal information to some organization all in the name of earning some coin. Anyways it is a matter of choice but I would rather not go for this.

Yeah This a good way to earn some free coins. There are still something you got to note.
- some people might not get their kyc approved for a very long time. It's going to be stucked in 'reviewing' and probably get approved or rejected.
- To get approved quickly, use an international passport.
- After getting the free xlm you can either swap it or transfer it.
- When transferring the xlm, always make sure you include a 'memo'  if not your Free coins might be lost

I thought about creating a fresh wallet and going for the KYC. But in the end decided not to do it. The risk is too high and the rewards are really low. $25 is not enough for taking a risk with the ID documents. Also, I have to say that this is a worrying signal coming from Blockchain.info. They had never asked for personal information before this.

Free coins are always good, but there is one drawback, there is a restriction on the countries, so before you participate be sure to check whether your country is in the list of allowed!

I have seen the news several times and it is simply just a way of gathering people’s information which I am not too comfortable with, because what would they stand to gain for just giving out $25 for free for a KYC if they will not really benefit something greater through the information they have gathered.

I know the greedy ones will definitely sell their information out without asking what the information being gathered will be used for, anyway, they can keep their money to themselves, I won’t sell my information out until they really give a clear picture of what they really intend using those info for.

yes I have claimed the stellar coin prize that was distributed by the blockchain at the time, from the news circulating it was the biggest airdrop in history because the number of coins that were distributed was very large and it was a good way to increase the coin so that everyone had stellar so the coin turnaround will be able to continue to move because people will get coins in an easy way, pretty well for adding value to the portfolio because I also invested in the coin.

The good thing is blockchain is giving a huge amount of money freely to bring more crypto people but the bad thing is their KYC procedure! I tried to earn 25 USD worth XLM but the KYC was too much strict. Like they ask my every inches verification, like your face, shoulder, head, passport everything!!  I think Blockchain should reconsider about the KYC process.

Not for free, by selling your identity you will get 25 USD! It was a good giveaway and then it becomes shit! Their KYC verification is an insult to the crypto people. They ask you to verify through passport, then face recognition and then shoulder, head, smile, and so many things  Grin One of my friends wanted to do it and then he got mad! I don't like these tyes of KYC procedure!

You are just selling your identity on 25$ it was not free because you give your identiy to them, what if they had account breaching? what will happen to your identity? it was going to sell with someone without your consent so better choose where are you going to have a kyc if it is worth it or not.
You are right it feel's like it isn't really free since we need to do the KYC in order to receive this so called airdrop.
And for me it is not worth it, I wouldn't risk my personal information just to receive these airdrops.
We don't know what could happen to our personal information what could they do with it.
So we should really be careful about proceeding to KYC.

I think this wallet is one of the great wallet out there and it seem's like it is not just blockchain wallet that is giving stellar airdrop but also coinbase.

There's already a topic about the Blockchain.com XLM-airdrop:
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/get-40-stellar-very-easily-5136652
Thanks for sharing I missed that post and I think those wallet that is giving some airdrops are trusted wallets,
And people are still doubtful about this coinbase and blockchain wallet has been around for long time now.

I sincerely commend stellar foundation and the blockchain team for putting up thus airdrop as a way to give to the community. I don't usually indulge in airdrop but when I came across this, I knew it would be worth my time. I have since cashed out the $25 xlm

Somehow most people are very infatuated with it where exchanging personal identities for money and clarity that we cannot yet convince, I hope to be a little careful with it all not forbidding everyone but more to be re-analyzed every everything that is very easy to get, all come back to themselves, each one says they still get profit, so please, but I'm a little sorry because everything here is very risky with a personal identity.

Selling your identity for $25 isn't really worth it to me. I kind of hate to do it even for exchange trading and then we are certainly talking about a lot more than $25.

Kind of weird and annoying how it's a requirement for so many giveaways now. I mean, you can sign up for online banking and since it's all automated, they don't even usually require a copy of your license or pics, or nonsense like that.

But for a $25 giveaway, they need your ID. It's kind of crazy.

I was a regular user of blockchain wallet I mainly used it for exchanging bitcoin to ethereum vise-versa recently I was requested to submit my KYC before I continue to access their exchange and airdrop of $25 stellar at my disposal.
I believed my identity is more important to me thus I stopped using their exchange however I still hodl my bitcoin in their wallet.

There is a similar thread as this on the forum, I have tried to claim the airdrop but the requirement is hard to go through, due to the identity verification problem s kyc which most user see as a breeze of they privacy and we like to remain anonymous because the documents supply may be used for something else.

I don't want to give my data for just 25 usd and I've learned my lesson already. I have participated in some bounties that required KYC and turned out to be a scam or the tokens don't have value. Until now I regret doing KYC in some failed projects and I'm worried about what they can do with my personal information. Again if you want to under go KYC make sure it's worth it.

It's not a scam but I wouldn't give up my private data for 25 dollars. If you don't care it's a good way to earn some money especially in a situation when you're from a poor country and this is more money than you'll get for a day's work.

I have a very short and simple opinion. If you have a lot of crypto don't do it. 25 won't help you but it will expose you.
This is just verify your account on the lockchain applications. It's good to help protect your account later. I think 25$ is only a small gift to make sure that the account is created on blockchain is real.

I can protect my account pretty well with my email, phone and google authenticator. Did they really convince you that giving them a photo of your ID will make them protect your account better? It doesn't work this way. You can be secure without sharing personal information with anyone and that's what cryptocurrencies are here to teach you.

It is not free. It is traded for your identity. Maybe they want to test their KYC system, and the airdrop participants are the tester.
For some peoples it is ok to give their identity, but for some other peoples, they value their identity more than $25.
yup, for identity problems we can actually get more than that, for example if we abuse use to try lending on a financial platform and also if we can borrow it can get 100-500$ or more

$25 worth of XLM is not enough to leak the identity to the stellar team and blockchain.info. By the way, there is a higher rate for USA citizens if they agree to fill the special form on the Coinbase. Such type of airdrops is not my cup of tea.

Stellar is a good and worth of investment. It has been performing well ever since it hit the market. Its price is increasing comparatively. It is very much good news that Stellar Lumin is giving away $25 worth of Stellar coin under airdrop campaign. I have tried to sign up to claim the reward. But I could not sign up and I think there are hassles involved in claiming the rewards.

This is true but it is only available for people who are living in the US, but the problem here is that they give 25$ worth of steller that you really can't do much with them, the coin is not popular and it is not being used anywhere so you can spend it and you can't exchange it, so it will just sti there in you account until you forget about it while its price keeps one going down, until the 25$ becomes 0.25$, it is the same thing that happens when they make a bitcoin gold fork, you claim it but its value keeps on going down.

So, it shows that your greed won upon your dignity.
Finally, you claimed your $25 and congratulations for the same. But what was the cost? You know what did you give against those $25? You have your complete identity and showed them that how desperate their users have become that they can't earn even $25 in real life. Go and ask anyone who is 2double0 and none will tell you about my identity. Why? Because I never shared my personal details and info that I am into crypto or anything related to the same. It is better to leave an opportunity than to compromise with our principles to grab it.

Money over privacy? Well, who doesn"t need money? Grin

I signed up for this and it is over a month but still my account was not verified. Is it because I used national ID or do I need to use my passport? $50 is still good since I am living in a country that will only pay you $10 a day for a regular job. Does anyone here experience the same thing as mine?

I think this is a good opportunity for newbies to earn their initial deposit in order to start trading. But in general, I think that this kind of action will not last long as far as I know the budget of this event is limited to a certain amount, so who wants to make money, I advise you to hurry.

This is not new, but if it is verified in 1 or 2 hours of work I might new hear it. When I claimed that the prize was verified for a long time almost 7 days, the airdrop had become a conversation at that time and I thought you were late to find out.
Somedays ago, I have seen someone to say that they have gotten the prize after 2 months of verification, due to the huge amount of fake submission and more people, the queue was so long.

I had already seen this because I am a user of the wallet that they offers and I can say that it is legitimate... since I have friends who have already got their Stellars. But, I think that my privacy and my anonymity are worth more than a few Stellars and that is why I don’t want to “exchange” my information with them.

Wrong, you only need and id and they verify it within 1-2 business hours.
Also, thia is an airdrop they don't give it in "exchange" for your information. It is for their safety, you don't want random accounts claiming free cash.

it is NOT for free  although it may look like it. what they are doing is that they are buying your personal information from you and paying you a small amount of money in form of a useless altcoin that doesn't cost anything for them. and you are willingly handing over all your personal documents to them for that tiny amount!

Until a few days ago they did not only give XLM worth $25 but $50. Yes sure, you needed to complete an ID verification but in the end of the day - you rarely get $50 for that so yes, I know lots of guys who happily did that. Wink

Some friend did this two days ago though, completed KYC but still has not received the airdrop funds - not sure if they are about to stop it or what the reason could be... Until a few days ago the time from completing the ID verification until receiving the Stellar was like 5-10 minutes only!

Make sure that you did not give your personal information like password or private key. Always think your security before dealing to any promo like this.

In my view, this is a promotion of that site and Stellar and definitely not a scam though there are those who failed to get the Stellar coin for some reasons. I think there is a need to do the KYC on the site and some document submitted have been rejected which can just be normal anyway. XLM remain a good coin and holding them can be profitable on the long-term. Wishing all participants good luck hope you all get approved for the airdrop.

It's not a scam lol. So many people success get the stellar airdrop on blockchain but also so many people is not get the airdrop too like what happened to me. I think maybe they already close the airdrop and already reached the maximum quota for the airdrop, but it's not a scam.
