Some time ago my team created a powerful parser for the bitcoin blockchain - t.me/BTCparser3
And I would like to introduce it in the following thread
What is the purpose of BTCparser3?
First of all, this bot provides a better understanding of the key principles of the blockchain operation. It evaluates the current load on the network by the number of transactions, making conclusions on the current mood of those e whales holding huge volumes of cryptocurrency (the user is able to see the number and the value of the transactions, as well as the changes of the biggest wallets in the network). This consolidated statistical information is easier to understand than the data provided by other bots for a single block or several blocks at once.
Never try to use the statistical information provided by the bot to forecast short-term changes of the Bitcoin rate. This information is used to gain a deeper understanding of blockchain technology, and it shouldn’t be used as the basis for your trading actions and decisions.
Working principles of BTCparser3
One of the key principles of Bitcoin blockchain is its permanence. Any transaction (sending or receiving Bitcoin) will be registered in the blockchain, and after confirmation, this information can’t be edited or removed from the system. Currently, the overall size of the Bitcoin blockchain reached 190 gigabytes, and it will only increase in the future. Special parsing bots are used to find large transactions and e-wallet monitoring. These bots are used to collect required stats to process and analyze it. In the majority of cases, the bots process and provide information for individual blocks.
The key feature of BTCparser3 is the ability to consolidate the data for every 100 blocks, as well as to show additional statistical information. The bot collects information from 100 blocks and finds the wallets used to send or receive more than 1,000 BTC in total. Furthermore, BTCparser3 calculates additional statistical information for every 100 blocks. All this information is then processed and published (at least once per day) in the following Telegram channel: t.me/BTCparser3.
Advantages and disadvantages of BTCparser3
- Information consolidation. Unlike many other bots, BTCparser3 analyzes 100 blocks at once, without processing them one by one. This approach tracks activity of the wallets on a long-term basis. In cases where the wallet is used to make a huge amount of small transactions, but the total sum reaches 1,000 BTC during the last 100 blocks, BTCparser3 will show information about this type of wallet in the Telegram channel.
- General statistics. This section provides an understanding of the overall situation in the blockchain, including the of transactions. Furthermore, information about the working, as well as contributing and accumulating wallets, can be easily accessed.
- Tags for known addresses (e.g. ‘hot wallets’ of the biggest exchanges). Furthermore, activity for a given period of time can be tracked, understating the amount that was sent and taken from the exchange.
- Messages in the Telegram channel are sent around once per day, and the bot won’t send a lot of useless spam about small transactions.
- The biggest disadvantage of BTCparser3 is that it supports Bitcoin blockchain at the current moment.
More details about that parser, it's data formats and meanings of various statistical elements can be read in the manual, which is pinned to the top of the bot's channel.
