When was that? I've been using blockchain.info now blockchain.com wallet for 4 years now but the first time I sign up it's not asking for a secondary password and I created just last year and its not still not asking for a secondary password, you only need one password here but if you lose that password and you did not store the private key you cannot access it anymore.

It was always optional. I'm not sure if it was even possible to set one up at sign up, or if it was possible to set one up only later in somewhere in the settings.

Months old of thread and do not believe this guy @v1tautas

Blockchain.com won't talk on Telegram to discuss any problem of their users. That is the reason why they only have email option and support through their website.

Outside platform help is considered suspicious about accounts.

where you saw what I wrote in TELEGRAMM with blockchain speak  . I wrote a man helps. with blockchain you can communicate long and stubbornly and will not touch from the place. if you do not know yourself, do not wrote.

TELEGRAMM      @Kulahin

Yes, you just said that you were helped by a guy on Telegram related to your blockchain account. But what i have told you is that only blockchain personnel helps people through their contact or email support.

Any outside platform type of help isn't comong their staff or they are not responsible for it.

Most help are already displayed on their help page https://support.blockchain.com/hc/en-us

And I don't see them have their telegram channel posted there so what I am saying is that it is better to contact them on their official channels.

Basically blockchain.info used to have a second password feature, they deleted this. Does anyone else know a web wallet with a second password? does the trezor / ledger have a second password?

Maybe you didn't take time to explore the wallet quite enough and therefore never had it enabled, but have you taken time to read through the responses in the thread?
Because if you did, nc50lc confirms that feature is still there with even a screenshot. Here is the link in case you would like to see the magnified version: https://imgur.com/LlI0ie6

They also said it could be for old accounts only. But I'm not sure how old 'cause I don't see it on my 2016 blockchain.com wallet, same with the new account I just created. It's also possible that there maybe other conditions to be met.

I'm just going to cross post this here as I'm also having trouble with my second password and maybe it's relevant or someone can help me out:

I'm also having trouble with my blockchain account specifically the second password.
-snip-
It was workign fine last month.
I have read the other thread,
yes, your backup phrase is enough to recover your wallet: https://login.blockchain.com/#/recover
You even have an option to restore it in any desktop client that supports BIP39 seeds, like Electrum, guide, take note of step 5.

But if the phrase isn't standard (random number instead of 12 and a "weird" word list),
you can only recover it using their special misleading url: https://login.blockchain.com/wallet/forgot-password

But it's totally weird for your wallet to suddenly set a second password by itself,
even weirder that the feature was now removed for new users and users that didn't set a 2nd password.

I'm also having trouble with my blockchain account specifically the second password. When I logged in on my phone today after about a month to try send some funds it asks you first for the second password which it didn't used to do. It was always the last thing before you finally sent the funds. However, when I put the password in it says incorrect password which it isn't and I'm 100% sure of that. All my funds are still there. I wonder if this is just an error with the updated app as the layout has changed a bit??? I think I've only ever been asked to input the second password once upon log on years ago when they changed their system up. It made me a bit worried but everything was fine. Anyone know whats up with this??? I'll try log onto my desktop wallet when I'm back on a safe computer and see if it's the same.

I've been using it for years and only really use it as a wallet on the go so don't have much in there. It was workign fine last month.

Having a wallet with second password doesn't mean its more secure besides what you should priority is to remember and should have backup is your recovery seed.

Even there's a second password or even third if your recovery seed was compromised or accessed by anyone then those password are useless.

Is the ledger nano s enough to do that?
So far, yes.

I dont seem to understand why the x version is double in price, is it worth it?
Nano x has more storage and can support up to 1000 crypto and its bluetooth function, better look and buttons, so far that's the difference between S and X.

Yes for ledger; and basically more than that, most hardware wallets will prompt you to "confirm" in the hardware device itself (to sign) a transaction in order to send it.

Ok great thanks thats what im looking for. Is the ledger nano s enough to do that? I dont seem to understand why the x version is double in price, is it worth it?

The S is enough, it's a very basic feature that's included in most (if not all) decent, popuplar HW wallets. If the price is an issue, you can go for a trezor (€59 for a trezor one), i basically like my trezors a little better than my ledger (i own a model T, a trezor one and a nano S)

Hi, no im sure they deleted in months ago you can check yourself. The whole second password section is gone, I even tried opening new accounts, gone and also customer support confirmed its gone. I have a trezor wallet somewhere bought it 2-3 years ago, i will look for it but I just honestly didnt like the layout back then so I stopped using it, is ledger easier to use? more user friendly?
Hmm, that's weird, how come I can see that quoted text right now?
My dummy account is in my second tab and I'm looking at that feature that's turned on.

Here's the screenshot:

Maybe they kept in for old accounts, that's a bummer then.

Yeah I had that as well but once I deleted it, so that I could setup a new one the option was gone forever.

What im basically looking for is a wallet, like ledger

Where I can login with a password or pin but then also to be another password/pin (second password) just for spending. Can the ledger do this?

Hey, they didn't, it is still in the "Security" link where you can see the basic features, then click "Advanced" to view other security features including second password.
That's different than 2FA, it's the short password that you'll be prompted to type when:

Second Password
For additional security, you can choose a second password that is asked whenever you want to spend funds.
As with your main password, if you forget your second password, we cannot reset it for you.

Blockchain.info is now blockchain.com. You sure they deleted the second password feature? Why would they remove a very important security feature? You should check again. Probably someone turned it off from your account and your account has been compromised.
Even if a web wallet has a second password, they are not secure at all! Never store your coins in a web wallet. There is a high chance you will lsoe everything. As for trezor/ledger, they aren't web wallets. They are hardware wallets and quite secure.

+1 for this.. I agree with everything adzino already said.

I just wanted to answer the OP's last question ("does the trezor / ledger have a second password?")... Depends on what you mean by "second password". If you mean 2FA, then no, a hardware wallet doesn't have 2FA. You can USE your ledger for services that accept FIDO 2FA tough... But in this case it's the other way around (you use your ledger FOR 2FA, it doesn't have 2FA). Trezor can also be used as a 2FA token.

That being said, both wallets are pin protected AND you can use a passphrase on top of this... Here's ledger's documentation, but trezor has the same feature:
https://support.ledger.com/hc/en-us/articles/115005214529-Advanced-passphrase-security

And just to stress the point adzino already made: it's not because a HW wallet like ledger or trezor aren't using 2FA that they are unsafe... They are a lot safer than any web wallet you'll ever visit...
