pruning is not even needed, it's a bonus, 60 giga is nothing, and in the future even if it will grow to 100 + giga,  still it will be nothing

right now you can buy 250 gb ssd at $80, and a mechanical is basically free with that capacity

Maybe but blockchain growth is also growing so it's a bit worrying ^^

Is it me or is everybody all of sudden too worried about the future. I get the whole be prepared thing but zombies could happen in future too.

This whole solving the problems before they even arise is creating more problems me thinks.

Well it's more that everything is more going up and up and we're worried about the scaling of btc ^^

I don't think size is an issue because 60 GB is nothing by today's drive capacities

I agree, but the 2Mb artillery seems to be trying to kill the smooth progression and maturing of Bitcoin, and that has become a "now" problem.

The only ones who want kill the progression of Bitcoin are those who want limit Bitcoin adoption by only allowing limited number of people using Bitcoin and send others to Altcoins. These are Altcoin best friends and Bitcoin enemies.

Hey everyone!

After the whole debate about the block size I've got a question regarding the blockchain size Cheesy

The blockchain grew 10 Gb last year. Number of bitcoiners goes only up and so does number of tx. How can the blockchain scale? Will it grow bigger and bigger or is it possible to cut some parts like really old transactions that are no longer useful to remember?
