Thanks for the reply guys. Is there anyway besides viabtc to change the fee?
ViaBTC doesn't change the fee. They are a mining pool and mining pools have a choice to include whichever transactions they want. The feature they have is to allow usere to prioritise their own transactions. Hence, when they mine a block, they have a high chance of getting their transaction included in their block. Same feature with BTC.com except that its paid.

Either include a high fee, ask your exchange to include a high fee or change to another exchange.

I see that the fee is 208 sat/b.

That's low at the moment. If you take a look at the following site  https://bitcoinfees.21.co/
It says that the avg fees at the momeny is 420 sat/byte.

So you just have to sit a little bit longer.

No it will not get confirmed. It will get dropped automatically after 5 days approx. The op will get his coins back.
If the client/anyone else continuously broadcasts the transaction, the transaction will not be dropped since the mempool in nodes will always be notified of the transaction.
I have noticed another thing that when I send bitcoin from any other wallet or exchange wallet then it get its first confirmation sooner within a little time but when I send my bitcoin from blockchain wallet then it take too much time to get its first confirmation. I want to know about this issue.
Blockchain.info uses a lower fee that is less than ideal as compared to those in transactions from exchanges etc. If you want it to be confirmed within the next few blocks, either set your own fee using bitcoinfees.21.co as a guide or even better, use another wallet.

I saw a snapshot of the Bitcoin network earlier today that listed 155 blocks in 24 hours, significantly above the "normal" level of 144 blocks/day one would expect. Last time I noticed, a few weeks ago, it was 171 blocks in a day. So rather than being slow it appears the blockchain is running (very roughly) 10% FASTER than normal. This is probably due to miners bringing on new hashrate as fast as they can as mining profitability has spiked up between fees and the price of bitcoin going up. (It takes a while for difficulty to adjust, so significant spikes can indeed make blocks come faster than 10 minutes on average for a while.)

So enjoy it while it lasts, because if the price levels off but TX's stay high, we could see blocks drop back to around 144/day and that will just make the congestion worse.

If your transaction has a lesser fees it mat be overwrited by the transaction who has a higher fee

That's basically how mining works. The miners are here for profits. They want to get the most out of their investment so they include transactions with higher fees and leave out the ones with low fees.

Plus people need to stop sugar coating stuff. We have a problem at hand. Bitcoin right now is not scalable and we need something like LN to fix this issue. Else bitcoin won't become a day 2 day used currency but will rather turn to an asset.

Is it me or is the blockchain verry slow today. I have purchased some bitcoin from Bitrush to Bittrex. It is 6 hours and still unconfirmed.
Is this normal?

It just normal blockchain isnt slow at all lol i think transaction are based on the mining company. If your transaction has a lesser fees it mat be overwrited by the transaction who has a higher fee

There is no such thing as slow blockchain.
Transaction speed depends on the amount of fees paid for it.

If you look at the satoshis/byte in the transaction's tx page you'll surely find a small value.
Maybe put the tx as well (if possible) and we can try to accelerate it using viabtc or something.
I see that the fee is 208 sat/b.

You will not forever get unconfirmed transaction delay, I think maybe you use very little transaction fee

I knew that transactions were very slow last past weeks, but I have heard from the forum users that transactions get back fast again. I sent 1 mBTC to the exchanger today and it is still nor approved for hours. Also from Blockchain. Can someone explain what is going on?
