I'll just update this thread related to my past error experience with blockchain wallet app, it works fine now after I update to it's latest version which was released just yesterday.

Will lock this thread now. Thanks for the help btw.

I just updated my blockchain wallet application on my Samsung phone, it works fine with no errors like what you got. If the problem you get is when you try to update, have you tried to uninstall it and install the latest version? I just tried to install it on my secondary phone which specs is under your phone, it works fine as well. FYI, I have never installed it before on my secondary phone (Xiaomi)
Yup, I already did that too many times from the v6.10.1 to v6.13.2 but nothing works, only the v6.9.2.

Final suggestion.

From V6.9.2 which is the version that finally worked to you, download the latest "APK" version from the linked I provided and install it. Choose ALL when installing and not NEW. Basically you will update to the latest version not from the playstore. This way there's no file on v.6.10 and v6.11 that will harmed the latest update. Im thinking it was the same scenario when installing/updating some android apps wherein there is a conflict about version files that is vary per Phones.
Unfortunately, when installing an app in my mi mix 2 there's no option of "ALL" or "New" unlike in some phones, it only has "INSTALL" and "CANCEL", and a question of
"Do you want to install an update to this existing application? Your existing data will not be lost. It does not require any special access." so basically it just like the "ALL" in some androids.

But when I did what you have said the same error I got, which is unfortunate.

Why others didn't got a problem like that? Basically they are lucky lol.
And seems I'm the opposite of them lol

So I tried to downgrade the app, downloaded from apkpure considering playstore don't have an option to choose previous versions.
v6.11.1 - Error loading full wallet functionality. Service might temporarily be unavailable.
v6.10.1 - Same error from v6.11.1
v6.9.2 - And finally no error prompts and it works!

So my question now is what's wrong with the latest version of the blockchain app in my 3 android devices while there's no error in the internet connection or any related to ssl problem. And base on the above comments, some user never gets an error from the latest versions so I wonder why. I have a feeling that I will stay longer on this app version for now.

So I tried to change my DNS settings in my device yet still same error prompts.

a) check the Wifi settings on those Android phones. Goto Wifi > Your Wifi's name > Modify Network and the proxy must set to none.
I didn't configure the proxy tab in my wifi settings and so it always set to none.

1. Use your mobile data instead of WiFi
I tried this one on my 3 android device yet still the same.

Since you mentioned that your phone is not rooted, your options are limited:
Yeah, I stopped rooting my phones when I got an android lollipop version since rooting device getting really hard and have small chance to get through and high chance to break any phones.

- Turn off your device ---> recovery ---->wipe cache partition
I actually did this even didn't go the recovery mode, just in the device settings but getting the same error again and again.

It's weird that you experienced this with 3 Android phones. I installed the blockchain app v6.13.2 and scan the pairing code in my account to check if I'll encounter the same, but not, it went through smoothly.

I'll suggest 2 things to try:
1. Use your mobile data instead of WiFi
2. Go to your phone's Network or WiFi Settings then Clear data (it will clear all the saved settings and passwords though)

Update us if any of the methods shared by members work.

As by reading from top, my first guess was certificate issues so yeah time and date but I doubt your all your 3 phones ( Xiaomi, Zenfone 3 & vivo y53) does have an incorrect time and date so Im removing this.

After analyzing all the story and since it worked on your Iphone, my suggestions are:

a) check the Wifi settings on those Android phones. Goto Wifi > Your Wifi's name > Modify Network and the proxy must set to none.

b) used the previous version of Blockchain app before the latest update. https://apkpure.com/blockchain-wallet-bitcoin-bitcoin-cash-ethereum/piuk.blockchain.android  (scroll down the page to see it's previous version) . No such big updates on the current so no worries if you will revert to previous one.

I just found it weird because all your Android phones are affected.

This topic prompted me to update my wallet on my phone; It worked without problems. Cheesy
Since you mentioned that your phone is not rooted, your options are limited:

 - Check the time and date: This is a stupid suggestion but tries it.
 - Turn off your device ---> recovery ---->wipe cache partition

I just tried to update the blockchain wallet app in my mi mix 2, but suddenly I get this error

"We are unable to connect to the host to establish a secure connection. Please verify your network connection and device before continuing."

I have a strong internet connection, I can even play a youtube vid with 4k and can download any large files. So I wonder if someone here experiences this, tho I don't have any funds stored there, I only used blockchain for email and push notifications when I sent and received funds.

PS. I already did clear cache but still get the error.
Have you seen the prompt message appears when you access Blockchain app? If it does then you would just need to enable data or wifi restriction. This do happen with my Xiaomi redmi note4x when i do make use of Coinbase application too which its data or wifi connection is being restricted why the app is getting error on having no connection.

Yes, I already reboot my ISP and still the same. Btw what VPN would you recommend, I'm not comfortable using those free VPNs actually.

[Edit] I used some VPN named Thunder VPN, but still, the same error prompts.

Can you try changing DNS to OpenDNS? dns1: 208.67.222.222 dns2: 208.67.220.220

If you can access your router you can try changing your DNS to opendns it might solve your issue.

If it still doesn't solve the issue may be the latest version of blockchain wallet app is the issue.

Some blockchain user experienced different error according to some reviews from playstore. So, I guess the latest version has some bugs that you must report directly to the blockchain support. So that they can fix the issue as soon as possible.

Update. Now it works in iPhone 6 with the same network connection on the 3 smartphones mentioned. I wonder what's wrong with the Android version of blockchain app. BTW I'm using the updated version in playstore which is 6.13.2.

Have you tried with different ISP? I tried use another ISP and i can't log in, well the problem is different from yours but maybe you can give a try. Also, try use VPN too.
Since its probably problem with your ISP, try restart it.

Yes, I tried also to update the latest version in my zenfone 3 max 5.5 but still got the same error. I even uninstall and reinstall the app and unfortunately no progress, still the same. Undecided

[edit] Still the same even in vivo y53.

You can try use VPN that appear on mycelium wallet(click for screenshoot) SaferVPN but for me its too expensive. For free i use Hotspot Shield. But well, i rarely using VPN except for opening app that blocked in my country.

Have you tried to test it on the other mobile phones? And maybe your phone system files are corrupted.

If you test it on the other mobile phone and it works fine then it is not from blockchain issue.

To solve this, you should reprogram your phone or do a hard reset. Also, before you do this try to reboot your ISP first and test.

No, I'm not using any VPN.

And regarding to the article, I'm okay with the number 1-3, and since I don't install any anti-virus mentioned in number 4 the thing is I just don't want to reset my phone now. Actually, this is the first time happened after I update the app and it works before.

Hmm... Somethings strange I already did clear data, tried to login with the scan pairing code recover using my 12-words but still, I get the error. And my phone is not rooted.

I think the obvious first step would be to try with a different network to see if the issue is on the Blockchain server-side, your network, or your device.

Also, Did you mess with your phone? rooted it and other stuff? I hear, a lot of xiaomi users does it

Did you use any VPN? Did you already uninstal it and install it again? Since i can log in with 1 MB/s connection speed without problem. I try to search on google and found This
