same problem here. i had sent 3 transactions and none has hit the network.
Yes, they are up and down, they tweeted about it, I just tried to push a transaction and it gave an error. 
Edit: It just went through, maybe they are just changing the UI, it looks a bit different.

I saw this many times. This mostly happens when your internet connection is disconnected.
