You should be more careful. It is possible to have their predecessors see their advice to solve the problem. Because too much information leads to chaotic news.

I am so sorry for you. Try to get things going again. It is also a lesson for you to know how to protect your property. The modern age is increasingly modern, so the bad guys are becoming increasingly sophisticated and very wise. You do not want to lose all your assets and always have a backup plan. In particular, do not put all your assets in one place, but distribute them in many places for safety.

If anyone doesn't mind, I would like to say that I can't believe it. I think you are mistaking something. However, if you have then I think there won't be any problem with your money because Blockchain is good for both, storage and security. So, if you have any issue then you can contact to support team. I hope they will solve your problem if you have a problem in your wallet. Thanks

Nothing was stolen in this case, how how could it be if it is watch-only wallet? If both of you just read post number 2 it would be clear to you what this is all about.

Any wallet and especially online wallets are worst solution for storage and for security. Most important thing is that user is in possession of his private keys, which is not a case when you store coins on blockchain wallet. Also every users is exposed to phishing when using online services, one more reason to switch to desktop or hardware wallet.

Mahanton, it is true what you wrote, so many scams are performed by watch-only addresses that even Blockchain.com is have warning about it, maybe some will start reading about cryptocurrency before they're deceived with such cheap scams.

I have 50 BTC and I watch them on blockchain wallet as watch only addresses, now I just had logged in on my wallet and my balance had gone, I thought I was hacked than I verified my addresses and the coins were there, so I realised blockchain wallet for android layout had changed, now they do not show the watch only coins in the balance, this wallet will scare many people today.

First of all op, just basing on your trust I don't already believe on the things you are talking on here Cool

I doubt that you didn't even hold a 1 btc and now claiming you do have a 50 BTC but  as potato said above scammers do make use of this watch-only address to fool people. Its either you are the ones who do fool people or you are the ones whose being fooled.? Smiley

just keep up with news, there's updates every quarter in their blog.

If you go to Settings -> Addresses, you could still view each watch-only addresses and their corresponding balance, though I'm not sure if you could still see the total amount - probably not. Almost every wallet supports that feature anyway so you might wanna try them, any preferred platform?

The update isn't as bad as you think, at least for me. Scammers have been using the watch-only feature to make people believe that the total balance is actually spendable, little they did know it was from a watch-only-address(es).

You can move this in the right board, Web Wallets. At your botton left, there should be "move topic"
