I've been experiencing the same problem, yesterday I made a transaction with Blockchain.info wallet Android app and it was my first time using it. With no doubt, I just send the Bitcoin without checking it first just like I usually do with Mycelium. But then I realized that the fee was too low and it's still not confirmed after 22 hours of waiting now.

I feel your pain, OP. I'm fairly new to Bitcoin, and it took me about a year to understand why including higher fees are so important. I use Blockchain for my hot wallet, and their recommended fee structure has been outdated for about half a year now. As the volume of btc transactions increase, they all compete to be included in the next block mined for confirmations. Confirmation times will be negatively affected for you if two factors are considered: 1. The amount of unconfirmed transactions are high and 2. Your fee is set lower than the current average fee recommendation.

You can view more stats about each of those factors at the following links:

1. https://blockchain.info/unconfirmed-transactions
2. https://bitcoinfees.21.co

You'll notice a correlation between the two factors: the more unconfirmed transactions there are, the higher the recommended fees there are.

Hope this brings a little more insight as to understanding how transactions work from a technical side.

One thing that has really helped me with confirmation times via Blockchain'a wallet service is to add 50-100% to the fee that they recommend. Hope this info helps!

Is anyone noticing the recent delays with blockchain wallet payments?? I made 2 payments on the 9th may and it's more than 48 hours now but none of the transactions have been confirmed. All payments are still showing pending: 0/3 confirmations. I am sick of this.

Can someone please recommend a wallet that works better

I saw posts saying that you need to increase the fee to have your transactions included in a block. In case you didnt know why, its because the BTC network is now overloaded with transactions that now you need to pay a higher fee to have the miners choose your transcations first. Its not blockchain.info's fault.
It's definitely blockchain.info's fault. Their fee policy is outdated thus making their users have their fee below the current recommendation and the transaction stuck because of this. I'm also honestly trapped by this.
If you make a transaction through blockchain.info recently, you'll see that their auto-fee feature will recommend you the fee which they said will get your transaction confirmed within 10 minutes while the fee they just recommended is really below what it should be.

No its more your fault. The service can only try its best to serve you. You wouldnt have this problem if we were not in this anomalous circumstance. Since we are then its your responsibility to know how large the fees should be and change them to get your transactions in the block.

CryptoTalk.Org - Get Paid for every Post!
If you still want to use blockchain.info ....
- Than before sending out anything go to advanced send option and manually increase fee they have recommended by few thousand satoshis.

But there are also better alternatives for bitcoin wallets, you can try either electrum or jaxx desktop/mobile wallet.

I own a blockchain wallet and the reason is because blockchain has not updated their fee policy to be competitive. It recommends fees that are far too low, so it takes days to get confirmed. You have to go to advanced send, and set an appropriate fee in order to get a confirmation within 10 minutes.

Now why bitcoin requires a huge fee now is a different debate, but right now you have to suck it up and pay these stupid fees.
it seems that their fee policy is now currently on 120sats/byte whereas the latest recommendation is 240sats/byte. There's nothing you can do but wait depressingly.
Just wonder how outdated their system is by looking on this, it's a trap for their users and yeah, a half of current recommendation fee will gets your transaction confirmed within more than a day supposedly.

Are you sure that blockchain.info is the one responsible for this? Can you post the TXID's here? Maybe you just putted a low miner fee . Let me tell you that blockchain's recommended fee aren't dynamic at all so if you relied on that give your transaction a go on viabtc .

Just stay away from online wallets . Use Electrum for desktop or Mycelium on android .
