Is the wallet really HD or not ? some people told me it is , others said it's not . I want to know if it's HD or not (do I have to generate a new address each time) ?

I just want to know how secure and how good the new Blockchain.info wallet is ? I personally didn't try to connect into it and test it , I preferred to hear from you guys (those who have tested it before) .
I really do not like new Blockchain.info wallet they charge fees more that old one. I am a small trader need to transaction small amount but they charge me huge like 10 to 30 cents per transaction. Old one is better they charge very little 3 to 6 cent. Also new have a problem for me every time they asking me mail confirmation. It is really annoying.
they're actually not increasing the fees by their will, the network force it,email confirmation is just to make you secured,if they don't do it and if someone got hacked, they'll accuse blockchain.info,if the fee is lower than the minimum, the transaction will need more time to get confirmed by network

There is no extra fees in the new blockchain.info wallet.
And you can turn off the email confirmations from settings.

Are they updating it frequently ? or they are missing features which are only available on the old version ?
I really want to switch to the new wallet but I don't want to get screwed , so wondering when they will launch it officially
 .
I suggest you better stay in old and stable version until the beta version has been finished.
I have read a lot complaining due to bugs and errors. Let's just wait too release them the official or final version.

I can confirm this. I have been using blockchain since 2014 and their new wallet is not really a step to the next level with all these bugs. Even the translations are at 80%.
It would be better if they had softlaunched it to 100 beta testers.

Well actually I have always talked against the blockchain.info wallet as the old one I was using was hacked in 2014, but I decided to give the new one a try and it impressed me, it is HD meaning has a SEED and you can restore it from wherever you are, you just need a PC and an Internet connection. It has email link verify(if you have 2fa email is great like Gmail) it has 2FA google authenticator (set it up on a Linux or in a just formatted PC) and it has mobile number code (i don't recommend this as its buggy).

So with all these security measures its better than the old one, still it remains a web wallet and you are still relying on third party to hold your bitcoins.

All of these features were already in the old version. Or at least most of them.
This isn't the first update since 2014. Those security updates have been added long time ago already.
This update is just horrible, I can't see anything good in it.

I am not saying its the best wallet, but is much better than 2014, this features was the majority of them there, but the HD wallet that lets you restore with a Seed was not applied back then. So for me its better, I add all of the security features, saved the SEED In some very safe place, I set up this wallet on Linux and so far its running great, not saying is my main wallet, cause I use Electrum, but I will keep this for a bit of gambling from my office, cannot open electrum from there and don't want to restore my main wallet of electrum in my office PC.

Sure it is better than it was in 2014. But it is worse than it was in late 2015.
And I think it is still best online wallet but it was even better before the latest update.

Thanks in advance

Maybe you will find this helpful

Manage Addresses

To create a new address, navigate to the right account, then click on Manage Addresses -> New Address. Each new address will display below, and you can generate an unlimited number in each account.

I already made an upgrade just now, I like the security features. But never try making a deposit or transaction yet. This would be perfect once they made it stable.
I tried also the android mobile app and start pairing via QR code and it works fine.
Before I upgrade, there is a statement that I can go back to older version but I don't know how.

I still prefer using the old blockchain wallet. and never opt in to upgrade and move to beta wallet. But once it passes on it's beta stage testing, everyone have no choice but to move forward with the changes.

I'm happy with the new one. I use it on iPhone and all works good. Ok, the Touch ID didn't work. But the rest is fine.

Can someone tell my why I have every few minutes a new Adress in "my Bitcoin wallet"?

it could possibly be that they are now supporting change address and you enable it? i dont have that kind of situation in my BC beta wallet

once you already updated to beta wallet, there is no way to back to the old version.
Maybe you can use other wallet , but i don't know how to get bitcoin that already saved back , some people have that problem too

My Situation

Hi there guys ,

I just updated my blockchain.info wallet to beta-version, and i am unable to process payment i don't know what kind of error its showing because the error is not fitting on my screen  maybe it is because i used to send the payment to 20 addresses.

I need to know how can i downgrade to blockchain.info the older one ?
that's where i clicked.

Can't use my mobile wallet to send payment.

You should stay away from online wallet I think. Even if for you daily spending, better to use mobile wallet, than online wallet(for daily spending).

I know , I installed Mycelium yesterday on my phone and I was planning to put bitcoins little bit everywhere to make sure I don't lose everything in case something goes wrong .

I have one wallet which uses the new beta wallet. I have put in $50 in it just to try a couple of things out. It works like a charm so far. Never had a problem.
Good for you but dont deposit big amount there until they announce the launch because it is still in beta.

Inability to sign messages negates all and every imaginable improvements/perks of the new wallet for me.
I spent 30 minutes to try and find the option, too,so blockchain.info owes me 30 minutes of my life.

it seems to be pretty cool for me, im always for changes, i really like the new design as it is more eye appealing, also its way more easier to use it right now than it was before, now its my favorite wallet

Forgot to ask , do you know (or anybody) when this new wallet will be officially released and used as the main one instead of having two ?

You could check everything here: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/blockchaininfo-1344049
Basically the followings is some of the things in regards to the beta wallet of blockchain.info
1. Users say it has better design
2. You no longer can sign message (hope it changes after beta)
3. You can't send to more than 1 person at a time (reported by one person so far)
4. In regards to number 3, many have reported that they can't use their funds and their stock with getting error wallet version 3 supported
There's another thread that had some more discussion as well in regards to it, will post an update in this post whenever I find it.

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/blockchaininfo-v2-1344748

All I needed to know , thank you mate .
I don't think it worth it to change (at least not for the moment) because design is important but without features it's pretty useless if you ask me.
