Don't browsers pass the system language to websites that request it? Why localize to IP and not that?

This kind of pretending to know what's best for one's own users is what really annoys me on blockchain.info.

Also defaulting to non-English and badly translated versions of the site while connecting from IP addresses assigned to non-English speaking countries.

Why they changed to using USD as default unit in the first place? Is it weird for a BTC website not using BTC as the default unit?

It's especially hilarious on old transactions:

THREE HUNDRED AND SIXTY ONE MILLLLION DOLLARS.

FORTY ONE MILLION DOLLARS

It would be only horribly annoying if it didn't randomly flip while following links within the site. As is, someone is going to make some mistake thinking they were paid more than they were due to the flipping changing the units out from under them...

Switches to RUB for me every single time I visit the site. Very annoying.

I'm getting this too. Its really annoying to switch back every single time. Please, at least persist what the user chooses in that footer select box.

(I personally think that changing to USD values by default is wrong and sends the wrong message about what Bitcoin is about. I would ideally prefer changing back to Bitcoin as the default, but I guess that's probably not going to happen)

I've see a few complaints and personally experienced BC.i apparently randomly switching from Bitcoin to "USD" when I follow links there. Anyone know whats up with that?
