What is with the Blockchain fees?
This is the first time seeing bitcoin to have more than 200k unconfirmed transactions and it makes sense that this is the reason why the fee is too high.

See it for yourself here https://blockchain.info/unconfirmed-transactions and also look at this site https://bitcoinfees.earn.com/ it displays the recommended fee.

I had to make a small payment of around 30$ and the fee was 12$. Never seen this kind of fee before.  Shocked

Is that transaction is in a hurry? You should wait for a little longer once everything has been settled and went back to normal but these fees are already low comparing before. We are saying it's low because the value is just increasing too.

Thanks for the info.
I know fee does not depend on how much you send but it freaks me out that if you have to make a small payment you have to pay a huge comission.

Since bitcoin is in high demand lately-- as you can see its pumping hard. The network is currently overloaded with unconfirmed transactions, its currently 200K+ now.
That's why it's no wonder why the fees are higher then usual. The amount has nothing to to with it as it is based on the size of your transaction and the current network conditon.

If you want to save on fees, set it manually and use the transaction accelerator services such as: https://pool.viabtc.com/tools/txaccelerator and https://www.antpool.com/user/prioritiseTransaction.htm?m=savePrioritiseTx. Please note that in viabtc your transaction shoould have a minimum of 0.0001BTC/KB (10/byte) and you should enter your TXID once an hour starts XX:00:00 to avoid "Submissions are beyond limit", I recommend them as its a first come first serve basis.
