no cause that would show up in the resource part of the chrome dev tools and I think he said no red flags where shown there

what browser are you using and what are your security settings.

I am using Chrome on Vista.

My security settings overall are pretty good I would think.

I really must reinstall and run from linux.

I just closed out all tabs and closed chrome. I opened it again and went back to the wallet and now everything is OK. This is not cool Sad

    That usually means the page you are on is serving insecure content through http instead of https.  You should be able to see the offending link if you view source and search for http://
