I appreciate all the effort for ideas for workarounds, but really I think the app should work as is and until then I'll use bitstore as I've never had a problem with their app.

If anyone knows a method for getting feedback to blockchain.info that would be great. I can't find any thread here or subreddit they participate in, nor can I find a way on their website.

i never successfully scanned barcode .
i just copy paste the address normally.

I was at a bar last weekend that accepts bitcoin (http://volsteadactspokane.com) and couldn't use my wallet. How exactly do you suggest copying and pasting from their iPad??

And, I usually am making purchases online with my tablet or computer and then scanning the QR code with my phone to pay. Again, copy from my tablet and paste to my phone? Not a practical solution.

Either that, or you could get a third party qr scanner and use it as a way to recognise addresses if you think it's faster.

Is anyone else having this problem with the blockchain wallet for iOS? When I try to send and use the QR reader, it automatically turns on the camera flash and has no option I can find to turn it off. There is no place in the iphone settings to disable the camera flash in apps. When pointing it at a QR on a screen (which is what you need to do 99% of the time) it creates a reflection/glare that makes the QR code unreadable.

I can't find a thread or subreddit or place on the blockchain site to bring this issue up. Until they fix this, I either have to type in addresses or use another wallet.

Have you tried re-installing the app and turn off app permissions in the settings ?

I reinstalled, but no change.
I'm not sure what you're suggesting with 'turn off app permissions' because there is no app permission setting related to the camera flash.

I know this sounds silly, but stick a piece of black tape over the flash could solve this problem until they fix the code  Grin

I would if I didn't need the flash for pictures. I don't want to peel tape off and put it back on every time I need to use the flash, or my wallet. It would be easier to use a different wallet. This isn't the first issue I've had with blockchain - not impressed.
