Mix you blockchain.info isn't safe because they know a lot of information about you & your bitcoin address.
Also, i heard some people can track blockchain.info mixing coin service Roll Eyes

Their customer service is really bad, unless you keep contacting & let many people know about it, they won't respond you seriously.
Bitmixer.io is more simple & secure than blockchain.info Roll Eyes

Hi.

I was cleaning up my stored adresses in blockchain.info and finally tried to mix them using the blockchain inlcuded service "shared coin". The problem is, all of my ~24 BTC's show up as confirmed to one (!) random adress i can't remember of having sent some coins manually to, and no coins have showed up till now.

Interestingly i've found an older thread of someone having a pretty similar problem:

https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/1o7vbi/blockchaininfo_stole_5_btc_from_me_over_a_month/

I'm sad, angry and confused, that just doesn't make sense. I'm using 2FA before every transaction, and i cerntainly didn't paste "any random adress" in. Also, the shared coin option was really bugged, it showed several errors and to be honest i can't even remember that it finally worked.

The "recovery" function that can be found n the shared coin tab also doesn't work, whatever it is supposed to do..

I already contacted the BC staff, waiting for reply now.

Once, when I used the SharedCoin service, and my BTC never showed up either.  I tried using (and I am not sure if The "recovery" function you refer to is the same thing) the "Something go wrong?" there, and DID recover my BTC from "Intermediate Addresses".

Of course, you may be able to get help from their support.

I had trouble with a blockchain wallet using 2FA as well.  Had to go to their support...

Best not to keep LARGE balances at blockchain.info.  I keep only a small balance there, enough for a decent lunch if ever stranded somewhere.  Too many risks of various problems for large amounts.

Most of the time their SharedCoin service has worked OK for me (sometimes long confirmation times).  But, I prefer bitmixer.io, I use their service, it works well (carefully follow instructions), that is why I asked to be in their Signature Campaign.

I have to say Blockchain.info has bad supports. You have to keep contacting them until they take it seriously and resolve the issue for you. Good luck with you.

Why do you try to mix the coin in the first place anyway Huh
I would be extra cautious with my coins especially with 24 BTC at stake
Like the guy said above me your coins probably is somewhere and will appear on your address in a few hours ( Hopefully )
If not i think there's nothing you can do about it since bitcoin is irreversible even customer support can't do nothing about it Sad
Also this is the first time i ever heard of Blockchain mixing service, i usually use bitmixer for my mixing purposes Tongue

That's why blockchain.info should be avoided at all costs.

Bitmixer.io does a great job mixing coins, and a heck of a ton more reputation than blockchain.info.

If your coins actually did go through a glitch in blockchain.info's shared coin feature, then there is a very low chance of you getting your coins back because their support is pretty horrible.

All you can now do is wait for the Blockchain.info's support response, I have never used that service, so can't say how it works or how safe it is, but shouldn't you have researched more about mixers before sending such large amount to one?

This is written on the website: Your coins never leave your control and therefore it is impossible for them to be stolen or confiscated. Don't know what they mean by that but it should be related to the recovery function you're referring to.

Just writing some code
AFAIK the shared coin option first sends your coins to a few other addresses before doing a coinjoin transaction and then sending what them to the address you specified. It could be somewhere in that process.
