It is a free service where they pay the transaction fees so I guess we can't complain. Blockcypher offers a similar service, but you pay the transaction fee, it might be worth checking out.
BlockCypher API is a bit complicated than BlockChain.info. BlockCypher, BlockTrail & BitGo are offering similar type of API, but they are somehow complicated for PHP implementation on shared hosting.

Really? I'd always heard good reviews of Blockchain.

Looked at BlockCypher, but couldn't understand the documentation. Any other suggestions?

Yes, unfortunately this is the new normal.
I have asked them on twitter when they expect to return to almost instant callbacks and forwards like it used to be but they have not responded.
It's been like the for a few months now. Sad

I've just set up the Blockchain API on my site. It works fine in the sense that when I actually do get the callback, my site will handle it properly.

However, the callback seems to take HOURS to get back. Sometimes it takes as long as 5-6 hours. It doesn't forward until it forwards, either, so the money takes just as long to get to my address.

I'm sure this isn't normal. Am I doing something wrong or is it Blockchain's API? If it's Blockchain, what alternative APIs should I use?
