Actually I just logged back into bloackchain.info and now it looks as though the transaction was resent today, and there is no longer any log of my previous attempt in my transaction history. That's weird?  Still no confirmations though lol as it looks like it was just resent with the same low fee automatically...

Funny thing, usually Blockchain.info default fee is higher than we need at the moment of transaction, it's the first time I'm seeing the default fee was lower than the necessary amount. Anyway, I always change the fee manually to prevent desnecessary outgoing and seems now I will need to check for insufficient outgoings too...

I had sent a transaction from my blockchain account and it had got stuck for 2 days due to the transaction fee which i paid (the blockchain's recommended fee actually) was too low which is very bad for such a proffesional and old wallet service like blockchain. sometimes it works normally but i agree with op if you are using blockchain wallet make sure to set up your fee manually in order to get fastest confirmation since their recommended fee i think it's not working properly. Anyway i don't use their service anymore due to that accident.

I would blame blockchain.info's "low fee" as the fee has been too high. At the moment, the fee at Coinbase is about 750 bits (~$1.50), which should be sufficient for a reasonably fast transaction.

Pretty weird, my blockchain.info wallet transaction that didn't have any confirmations since 5/17 disappeared and my balance looked refunded. But now it looks like the transaction was sent again 2 hours ago, but when I click to view it on blockchain it still shows the original transaction from 5/17...no confirmations still Sad

The situation is a bit paradoxical, we all complain about the slowness of the network to perform the transactions, everyone complains because the fees are higher but as the network is congested everyone pays more fees for their transaction to go faster and thus contribute to the fees continue to rise, and meanwhile the miners are happy getting more profit. It´s not surprising that some miners want to keep things as they are.

Before it recommends low miner fees but now it's recommends a high fee, it feels like the wallet is so delayed. Earlier, I just sent some bitcoins to fill up my steam balance and the wallet charged me 0.0006 btc for fees instead of 0.0004.

These online wallet providers cannot keep up with these high fees. The Mempool has never been this full and everyone is trying to pay higher fees

to get their transactions to be confirmed. This is not helping, because if everyone is doing this... it just push up the upper limits to get it

confirmed. So all of us are getting fked by these miners and developers in the way that they are handling this scaling problem.  Angry

I agree but if you're placing a sports bet you need the confirmations or else you won't get paid on a win

Fees are getting ridiculously high, that is the problem, sometimes proper fee needed for fast confirmation can double within a day.
It is not really Blockchaininfo's fault they can't keep with this madness - you can set your own fees for every tx anyway.
So if you want fast confirmation, setting custom fee is the only way to sent bitcoins nowadays.

Hey everyone, I just wanted to throw it out there that I think blockchain.info's default fee setting has become too low to get confirmations when sending a transaction. When using a different wallet (such as a trezor, etc), I have always manually set the fee extra high so that the transaction gets confirmed quickly, but with blockchain.info I have always used the default fee setting.

I sent a transaction for around $350 (or somewhere around there) early on 5/17, and it has still yet to get a single confirmation. So if you need to send a transaction from this wallet, I would recommend manually raising the fee setting. I've never had a problem in the past until now.
