You are right, didn't check seclog page.
But why would any one change the original email linked to the account (probably to the hacker's email) then reset the password via secret question?!
Probably someone who doesn't know the capabilities of the forum when changing password through secret question's, either the hacker or the owner.

The account was probably hacked way back 2019 based on the trust feedback given. Either the original owner want to recover or someone who wants to hack it again?

Now all he can do is to sign a message with a staked address as suggested above and contact the recovery team.
Without a signed message, his chances to get his account back are slim as he used to change emails frequently.

If you or someone else requested changing the password via secret question then your account will be automatically locked. This is not the case here.
His/her account is probably locked now. The password has been changed via the secret question.

This message is sent to the email address linked to your account when you or someone else who has access to your account request to change the original email.
If you are not the one who made the request then you should click on the provided link to lock the account temporarily till you prove you are the original owner.

If you or someone else requested changing the password via secret question then your account will be automatically locked. This is not the case here.

No access to first mail. Today a message came to the current mail.

Every year I change mail, what is the problem? The account was painted and I'm not talking about that.
The problem comes when you want to recover your account. Changing email addresses is a sign of an account getting sold or getting hacked and therefore it even makes it harder for you to convince the account's recovery team because they usually ask for the original email of the account. Good luck recovering your account.
Thank you so much!!!

The letter arrived today in the mail.
What? It was hacked a year ago and you still receive this letter from yesterday? Are you kidding me? No way, there's no way a fool would have kept your email in order to use that account for a year  Roll Eyes Incredibly, it was hacked a year ago but its owner hasn't changed his email, and now, it is a great opportunity for you to regain your account. Just click the link in the email and follow the steps, is there any difficulty? To be honest, I have never met your case, so I have no experience to share. But I'm sure it must be easy to do  Roll Eyes

You have changed your password via the secret question. So your account should be now locked.
If you are the real owner of that account and you have already posted a BTC address, follow the instruction below.

1. Create a signed message using the Bitcoin address you staked to prove your ownership of the locked account.  Example:

Code:
-----BEGIN BITCOIN SIGNED MESSAGE-----
My account has been locked. Please unlock it. The current date is .
-----BEGIN SIGNATURE-----

-----END BITCOIN SIGNED MESSAGE-----

2. Before sending the signed message to mods, verify it by yourself with Brainwallet, Blockexplorer etc.

3. Create temporal Bitcointalk account by using a different email address.

4. Send PM to theymos, Cyrus, hilariousandco including the above signed message and the link to the post where you staked your bitcoin address.

The only way to help you recover your account is sign a message from a Bitcoin address which you used before. Can you sign any message from such an address  Huh

I don’t understand how to sign the message now? The letter arrived today in the mail. What difference does it make before? Maybe I can’t be in Russia and learn Russian? And what if my friend wrote messages on my account?

It seems that that account has been hacked since 2019, why are you not at that time to recover your account? The link to recover your account is only valid for 14 days. It means you cannot recover your account by email of any kind. Only the current account owner has the right to change that account's email. The only way to help you recover your account is sign a message from a Bitcoin address which you used before. Can you sign any message from such an address  Huh

Edit: Also seeing that the account information has been changed recently, it seems that account has changed owners again
