Blockfolio is a cryptocurrency price and portfolio tracking that delivers excellent charting, working alerts, more compact portfolio page and adjustable crypto news.

The interface is not as congested as you might see in many other free apps and it provides a very simple and easy navigation. Users are able to also customize various things, from the order of the coins on the home page to exchange the data is derived from.

You can also toggle to change between fiat and bitcoin for the default pricing of the cryptocurrencies.

Base on what i seen this app is just for crypto news and other feature such as alerts, Charts and Orderbook, Latest news and portfolio over view .. But like other said its still not recommended to share all of your info related to your trading account you always should save your important info and never shared if you don't want to hack by someone..
This app can be useful to use for those who wanted to monitor their profit and  monitor any altcoin they want the good part is they can give you sound alert once the margin you set or threshold reach it gives you notification alert..

The problem I could see is that you probably have this app installed on a phone, with 2FA for your exchange accounts also installed on the same phone. Now they know where you are, and how much you got.

Too much information together = risk.

I mean what many people don't care what apps they install and what apps asks for what type of premissions, so basically it all comes down that all other apps, not just blockfolio might be able to see some info that you wouldn't like to be seen. But I fully agree with you that there is a high risk involved.

Blockfolio app is just a monitoring app and its not connected to your personal trading account.  Even Blockfolio snooping you that's is not a big deal because any one can write 5 BTC holdings easily

It's just a ledger.  It's not connected to anything.  Information could be false.  You can put 1,000,000 btc in there just to feel rich.  What are they gonna do? Nothing to fear.

I also don't understand why someone would use such an app at all. For privacy reasons you should keep away from such services in the field of cryptos..

Non-issue. I'm gonna keep using the app and ignore your recommendation. Thanks for the sensationalism!

Seems fairly obvious that inputting any information about your cryptocurrency holdings into a third party service is dumb unless you've read fully through open source code and decided that there's no way for them to access information about your holdings.

Really, if you have >$100,000 of crypto, it would be way better for you not to tell someone else about it at all, considering just how hard some people try to steal others' cryptocurrency holdings.

he popular cryptocurrency portfolio app, Blockfolio, downloaded over 100,000 times, with a Telegram chat group of more than 1,100 traders, has the ability to snoop on users’ positions.

It is recommended that all users discontinue usage immediately. Both Android and iOS versions are intentionally phoning home to Blockfolio and reporting all user positions, unique to each device.
