Why do so many people assume that rules apply to other people, and not to them?
I'm not sure that's the case with OP, who probably didn't read the rule about participating in giveaways to begin with.  In fact I seriously doubt most newbies read the rules until after they've gotten caught breaking them--and even then they probably don't bother to do so.

It's fortunate for OP and others that the penalty for doing what he did is a temporary ban and not a permanent one, and having to sit on the sidelines on a forum for two weeks shouldn't be that difficult.  The only reason it's probably a big deal for members is that it keeps them from shitposting for whatever bounty they're participating in.  I'd like to offer some sympathy here, but I couldn't do it with a straight face.

It did happened on me one time. But only for 7 days ban and I acknowledged it as I participated on an airdrop announcement thread which was turn down. This is probably my first and last as learning on my ban process sync in already. Next time dude dont join these giveaway which require certain task that obviously will received any coin or token reward. You got lucky, only 14 days of temporary ban isn't bad use the time to reflect some here got permanent ban which was most terrible to happen.

Hello, I received a ban on my account https://bitcointalksearch.org/user/medvedevvasilys-1807843  for 14 days due to the fact that I wrote an autenfication post in the bounty of the company that should start on 16.02.2020.Why did I get my account blocked? If they are scammers, what do I have to do with it?All the more fraudsters many on forum, but never no one for this not banned.I have not done anything contrary to forum rules. Please unblock my account. Here is the reason for blocking my account: "Sorry MedvedevVasilyS, you are banned from posting or sending personal messages on this forum.
Reason: Participating in an on-forum altcoin giveaway ("BitcoinBlink" bounty). Ban duration: 14 days"
You have violated a forum rules which result in getting ban even if you didn't cause trouble. Just be thankful that it's 14 days and not permanent which you'll be right back at registering new account. If I were you, I would have waited until 14 days have passed already.

You were banned, as the reason says, for participating in an on-forum altcoin giveaway. Specifically, you've posted to a now trashed ANN thread in exchange for future coins. Whether the airdrop started or not doesn't matter - you've participated by posting on the ANN thread and then claiming your spot to receive the coins. There are numerous warnings plastered all across the altcoin sections (in the form of stickied threads) that both starting and participating in on-forum altcoin giveaways that incentivize posting to one more more threads (either directly or through low effort tasks) is prohibited.

As for scammers, see https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/unofficial-list-of-official-bitcointalkorg-rules-guidelines-faq-703657:
Q: Why haven't you banned who is an obvious scammer?
A: Possible (or real, not for me to decide) scams are not moderated to prevent moderator abuse. If we start picking out which ones we call "scammers" and ban, we would make a lot of decisions based on biased opinions.

Scams aren't moderated by the forum so this has nothing to do with it, but participating in on forum giveaways aren't allowed regardless of whether the company is a scam or not so that's what you were banned for. You can try contact mprep for further clarification but I'd just wait out the ban.

It appears that you have done something "contrary to forum rules".

Maybe you should take the time to read the forum rules (at the top of this board) as well as the rules for bounties/altcoins/etc (at the top of each board where you're posting).
