I bought my first BLOCK last year month of November at 9 cents and check it today after 3 Months lol

Here are some of the research and updates I garnered despite the unprecedented events which grossly affected society and the way people live their lives over the past year, the development family behind Blocknet never ceased to further improve its platform and operability. The Blocknet toolkit has continuously advanced further in its mission to maintain its decentralized solutions for crypto exchange.

The following features were tirelessly worked upon by the Blocknet team during the last quarter of the year 2020:

CloudChain Lite Multi-Wallet – to further improve Block DX's trading volume, a new lite multi-wallet was proposed to be developed. With this application, users will be able to trade on the platform without downloading tons of additional chains.
Atomic Swaps With XBridge – XBridge is a decentralized exchange layer that connects any blockchain assets via cross-chain atomic swaps. The XBridge platform is designed to be an extension of the Block DX exchange, permitting the introduction of trustless atomic swaps of supported assets listed within the exchanges. The team has envisioned XBridge to be the solution to cross-connect with Ethereum within the Blocknet ecosystem.

BLOCK-DeFi (Decentralized Finance) Integration – DeFi si considered to be an emerging disruptive force in the financial world that is confined mostly to the Etheruem blockchain only, preventing the innovation of other blockchains from easily providing their services. This also prevents Bitcoin from functioning on a full scale in DeFi's ecosystem. The blocknet team is in the process of coming up with an ERC20 version in the native BLOCK token. Once available, this Blocknet's ERC20 version can be coordinated into Ethereum's blockchain, widening Blocknet's scope of possible crypto trading options.

Moving onwards, Blocknet's Roadmap has provided the following projects currently in development:

Blocknet Core Wallet 4.3.2 – following the latest 4.3.1 update which focused on several improvements to partial orders as well as with the UI updates including Coin Control tree view, a new Balances screen, Addressing Book fixes, and removal of address labels when sending and receiving coins, this future update will provide solutions to the disappearing stake issue which was experienced by some of the core wallet's users.

XRouter JS Library – XRouter is a decentralized communication layer that connects bulky blockchain networks to the lightweight multi-chain decentralized applications of the future. With the use of XRouter, decentralized applications can make use of the services and verify data on any type of blockchain, without the need to host blockchains locally. The XRouter JS Library upgrade will permit its developers to exploit XRouter without the use of Blocknet wallet for lightweight plug-and-play integration.
Hydra – Enterprise XRouter – a new Nginx reverse proxy capable of interfacing with XRouter is under development. This will open the connection to not only consumers but also to enterprises as well, thereby granting the facilitation of hundreds to millions of requests per second.
Conduct of Partial Orders on Block DX – there being no options to perform partial trades in a decentralized exchange, the Blocknet community has come up with the idea to construct partial order support for Block DX.
Support for Eighteen (18) Decimals in XBridge – it shall be noted that in the last quarter of the year 2020, the Blocknet team has made its move to use XBridge as a means to integrate with the Ethereum ecosystem. This update will enable eighteen (18) decimal places in XBridge to support the ETH/ERC-20 integration throughout the Blocknet ecosystem.

As announced in Blocknet's theblocknetchannel.medium.com, Blocknet's new roadmap is returning its focus to the goal of building out interchain infrastructure and tools that will foster the development of a completely decentralized blockchain ecosystem. The Blocknet relies on the finality reached by interoperating blockchains themselves and enables users to prove chain state without hosting the chain locally. With its upcoming product of decentralized applications, the library for interchain trading, XBridge atomic swap options, and Hydra XRouter upgrades, its goal for a decentralized blockchain ecosystem is gradually being realized.
