I guess he is simply on the wrong chain, Bitcoin Cash. There is few transactions and blocks are longer. There has been no empty block on Bitcoin since ages.

No. The block is confirmed and is part of the BTC chain. Ive only noticed this since the cash fork and there have been a few . block 479837 is one check yourself.

If I discovered a bug I'd love some recognition.
But I'm no computer scientist and this could be something normal but I doubt it.

Edit:
So there are more than a few every 10 block aprrox one is mined recently that only has 1 transaction the block reward.
This must be normal then ...
Antpool mined a couple with only the block reward and no transactions .

I'm not at noobie rank for nothing. Lips sealed

Since segwit locked in I have notice an unknown miner mining blocks every now and then with zero transactions only the block reward in.

Block size is around 339kb

After this block it takes alot more than ten minutes to find the next block like 45 mins.

Maybe this has always happened but I think it's a bit suspicious . It's like this person has figured out a way to get his miner to only solve the block reward .
