It helps you in this market?

so you are here for profit ? is it not awesome that we have a payment system built right to satellite, a payment system open sourced and not ripping you off.

this is why bitcoin is king, removing internet depend.

The internet is going cheaper days by days. We don't have to remove the internet, in fact, it's probably what people use the most nowadays. In my country, we can buy a sim card and then pay $10 per month for 20GB. Not much but definitely better compared to 10 years before.

According to this[1], in general, people around the world need around $50-$100 per month to use a broadband connection. Even in Africa, there's only a small minority that requires you to pay more than $200 (which hopefully will decrease later on). Seems like the internet will be very easy to access in the near future.

I do hope that things will going better in the future as based on my experience here in my country internet connection sucks. I belong to the area where network coverage is so weak prepaid and postpaid. Good for those who can afford to aquire internet with modems and antennas as they can have a better connection. But how about us less fortunates? We need something like blockstream to be able to make transactions like that of Japan.

do you think problem is internet speed ? its 6$ for 130 GB here, but the problem is censorship even government can block certain ports and may even black list few ips. thus reducing bitcoin implementation on full scale.

I do not see that the Internet has become a problem. Many African countries have become dependent on the Internet mainly in government transactions and electronic payment.
Also, the global trend has become Internet Of Things "IOT."

Bitcoin transactions can be received offline, but the transmission is not required to connect to the Internet "either by SMS or as Satellite."

The service has been around for quite some time now, and I think it's doing its job albeit quite slowly, or discreetly, as not a lot of people know about this. For places that doesn't have internet connection, or have weak connections, this is actually a good thing to enable them to use bitcoin. There had also been a proposition to use SMS networks for sending and receiving bitcoin transactions, though I think that one may have been scrapped or haven't developed into something useful for mass adoption. Nevertheless, it's good that we're slowly inching from the internet and finding other alternatives to get bitcoin out there in the wild.
