Blue/Red Fury maximum on each PC? I got both Blue and Red Fury. Actually I prefer Red Fury than then Blue.

How many did you managed to run on your PC? I only managed to run 28 Fury with my PC. And I am running another 13 on another PC.

Did you manage to run more? I found that when I tried to run more than 28, it doesn't recognise it.  Huh

Ideally I want to run all 41 of them using one PC. Do you know how?

Thanks  Smiley

41 is not too much and should be able to run all on one PC, you might have some heat issue so get ready some GIANT fan...

Is there even a max? I believe unlimited...
There is a maximum of 128 addressable nodes, 127 devices per controller.  Your computer can have multiple controllers.  A realistic limit is around 80 devices per controller using common hubs built from 4 port chips.

getting over 80 is hard…  but possible.   here are 120 plus   AM sticks on the 49 port hubs.

these hubs   can fit 25 red furys.

  row 1--  4 sticks
  row 2--  3 sticks
  row 3--  4 sticks
  row 4--  3 sticks
  row 5--  4 sticks
  row 6--  3 sticks
 row  7--  4 sticks

total -----25 sticks

 I am pretty certain 3 of these with 25 red furies each would work on my pc  that would be 75 x 2.2 or about 165gh.

I would love to have the sticks to test it.  but too much   $$ to buy that many.

I found out that when I exceeded 125 sticks cpu use went nuts and the 125th stick read endless errors.   not sure if the pc or bitminter software is the issue.  windows 7 has a 127  usb device  limit for 1 controller.  this pc has a 5 port pcie usb card with a second controller  so I should be able to go to 240 sticks or even 250.  So when I got past the 127 device limit the cpu went nuts and the last stick added com284 just read endless errors.  in the photo below it is at  6000 and change and counting up really fast

I pulled the stick out and have been running the 3 hubs with 122 sticks at 40.6 gh dead stable for a day.

3 hubs 3 extra psu's
 shot of the 3 hubs

Woohoo nice, you must do have lots of USB erupters...

I have no idea why my laptop can't get over 28. My other laptop can only read 11. I have finished building my Litecoin rig, but I am having problem installing Ubuntu, it keep failing to install. I will try again tomorrow. Hopefully the new rig can support all my USB, so I don't need to use my laptop from them.

The tree should work better.

What does usbview ( free utility from microsoft, google for it) show when you have them all connected?  Does it see them?

I believe you can run like few hundred of them, it also depends on your computer processor..

I am already using Intel i7 cpu. I can't get better than that. But I can only run 28 maximum.

How do you have the hubs wired?  28 sure sounds like a magic number if your hubs are daisy chained.

computer -> hub -> hub -> hub -> hub

vs a tree

computer -> hub ->hub
                       ->hub
                       ->hub

I tried the Computer bus (The first example) system at first. Then found the tree system works better.

good chance you are maxed at 28 vs a possible  127 max due to the mother board.  I run Am sticks lots   and motherboard to motherboard they vary.  I have 1 laptop a cheap asus and it only allows 1 7 port hub with a max of 3 sticks.   while my high end asus maximus v gene  has done  122 sticks.  my  as rocks motherboard tops out at 105.

That is good to know, because I am re-building my new litecoin mining rig tomorrow. And it is using MSI Z77A-GD65 motherbaord. Hopefully if it is the motherboard, and maybe I can run all of them on that board. I won't know until tomorrow after I build it and install Linux on it.

well I am a windows  7 miner  and a bit of 10.8.5 osx   mining with mac minis.   I have found that mobo to mobo the max varies with AM sticks.   Most likely it will vary with the red/blue fury sticks.   I am waiting g on more reds to test.

what pc .  what os.

I got up to 120-122 AM STICKS on my pc.

 Right now I have 1 red fury so I can't test.

 I do have a  few questions
1) of your 41 sticks how many are red and how many are blue?

2)also can you mix and match the sticks?  like 14 red with 14 blue

3)  what are your hubs?

4) what is your pc and what is the mobo?

Interesting, I ask the questions, and your reply are more questions.  Angry

Just kidding.  Cheesy

I am using a Intel i7 Core CPU computer, running Ubuntu Linux.

1) of your 41 sticks how many are red and how many are blue?
22 Red, and rest are Blue.

2)also can you mix and match the sticks?  like 14 red with 14 blue
Yes, I managed to mix and match them on the same hub.

3)  what are your hubs?
TeckNet 3.0 USB 10 ports.

4) what is your pc and what is the mobo?
What is mobo? If miner then it is bfgminer. I can't get cgminer to work.
