Did you ever solve this dilemna or figure out how to upgrade the BMminer to CGminer?
I recently bought 2 used L3+ units and they are the exact same as your situation.

Hi there,
A quick question , I just recently bought two L3+ Antminers.
When I check the System information (Antminer 1) through the Antminer page configuration I can see that there is BMminer Version which is empty .
On the other hand, If I do the same on my (Antminer 2) I can see that CGminer Version 4.90 is present.
1- Why there is one empty (BMminer Version) and the other version is populated to be CGminer Version 4.90 on my other miner?
2- What difference it will make by having BMminer Version on one Miner and the other having CGminer Version 4.90?
