Topic: Board selection as a newbie (Read 118 times)

If you wish to grow your account and your knowledge, then I will recommend you stick to the local board and beginners and help section. If what you want to learn is in other sections, then you can easily visit there, but what you have to know first is to understand what the forum is all about. Make sure you check the forum rules and regulations. A mistake you make when your account is still in lower rank can be used against you after building your account. So anything that you think will cause you problems now or later in the future, just avoid it.
 
 
The forum will not be difficult, just stick to the rules, and if you are scared to post in other sections, then you can just focus on the local board. If you need any information, you can ask here, people are here to help you out.

Firstly, I'm asking this because I tried checking the altcoin section but all I could see Is bounty hunters because I read alot about this forum within the time I registered.

Thus I saw that some  Newbies grew alot in just a short period of time with just few posts, although th LB ratio  of these people that I have seen so far although I can't  be sure but  most of them that I've seen are out of  LB  however, in the localboard Newbies rank up to member rank easily, among others that I've seen though  but I knew some ranking up above member rank with LB as a result of quality post . So I was a little bit confused but now I think I should  stick  around more with LB.... and I don't think I will be trying Altcoin with all I've seen  and from the comments I've see

Stick to the local board, then slowly improve your boards to Bitcoin Discussion, Beginners and help to get more exposures as you can use the knowledge you have gained to help other members. But if your hand never strong stay for this board and you go grow both in knowledge and other things. No rush go boards wey you no know anything about say you wan dey write. Another thing wey you fit do na to stay for board wey you get interest in. Are you a trader, stay for trading discussion boards. If you love politics na politics and society go fit you and so on. Avoid boards like gambling, altcoins and off topics as dem go waste your time in developing your account.

You'll hardly make quality posts in those boards as they're mostly generic conversations ongoing on those boards. Stay where the discussion there go sharp you into becoming a qualified posters. Na the topics wey dey a board go determine wetin you go dey feed yourself so always dey board wey no go bring your quality of conversation down. E also get some boards wey you go need to visit mostly for reading what is been discussed there so you fit dey add to your own knowledge and when time reach you fit dey join them dey discuss there too.

At the end of the day, the decision is yours to take as we no fit tell you where to dey write without you accepting it so look through the different board and choose those that are of interest to you either you want to learn from the discussion going on or you want to add to the discussion going on for those boards dem.

We are all different and have different things that interest us, if I were you I will go round all the board to see for myself which one will be the best for you that you can involve in quality contribution in every discussion. Their is no place in the forum where growth does not take place, so far as your contribution is meaningful you will definitely grow. Growth here is as a result of contribution involve in the forum.

I be local board fans but I dey more active for Bitcoin discussion, and gambling board, I get am clear say the only board way you fit dey easily relate with na you fit also post and make you easily rank up and get more crypto knowledge.
I for say make you dey this our board but I go like make you also visit other boards so that you go get more knowledge about the forum. Some things way go dey for other boards you fit no find am for local board,, so just try even if say na ones in a blue moon, try visit other general boards.

Bro I no go lie you, na local board be the best place to take grow in everything, your writing skills, to make good quality post and comments and lots more. Na for this local board naim I take grow like this wey I dey, because when I first try to go outside go dey make comments, the criticism was too much for me , so naim I run come local board, and fortunately I come dey get am clear for here. And of of the sweetest thing na be say we get very lovely members for this local board wey dey very ready to help you with anything wey their hand fit reach. So I go advise you make you no slack for this local board, them talk am say, there is no place like home, now get why.

My advise to you as a newbie is not to jump to every board for now, try and learn the basics of the forum and that can be found on the beginners and help board. After that, relate more to your local community because they are the closest to guide you best in the forum and also the Bitcoin Discussion board where you’ll find all the information you need to know about bitcoin ecosystem which is your main aim of joining this forum. From there, after you’ve gathered a lot of knowledge from those boards, you can now start visiting other boards to learn more in order to improve your knowledge in the forum and learn new things that will be beneficial to you.

After reading the rules in the forum, you can just keep learning from what others are discussing from time to time; for now, you don't need to stick to a particular board. Just keep going around and seeing things you get familiar with everywhere, but don't comment for the main time unless you know what you're talking about and can prove it very well.
There are conversations that you don't need to join; if not, it will be considered spam. Don't also argue with people; instead, learn from their arguments to keep yourself from hatred or personal attack.

I will also let you know one important thing: you will always receive bad responses from senior colleagues; it will also sound so I'll manner, but you will have to grow thicker skin not to take anything from here.

as a newbie, all the different board are necessary as they all serve specific purposes and gives you unique information that will build you up to becoming better in the forum.

You could check more information from beginners and help section as most of the questions you intend asking has already been asked their. Other board like the local board, altcoin, economy, general board, gambling etc are also very useful and are filled with information that will equip you well in the forum. Just go through all of them and see what people are doing and if you have any view to make, don't fail to do so.

 I will advise you do not just limit yourself to the local board only. You can make post here as a newbie to further familiarise with how things are done here.  Reading and learning would further guide you through in knowing things about the platform.

You have the beginners and help board where you can ask questions as it relates to your understanding here. There are people out there who could help you through. You can also read other posts and topics on the beginners and help board to guide you through. I think you can also learn from those posts.  While doing that, make sure to abide by the platform policy so you do not encounter any challenge.

There is no specific board to be active on rather as poster you are you can stick to the areas you develop interest on if you watch most of the users I mean the reputable poster they have areas of specialization the sections they knew much better. There are some people who posts mostly in the technical sections meaning those people has more technical knowledge and they finds interesting posting over there. If you decide to remain here in this LB you would only ends up getting local gist and the rest but you can still extend your hands to beginners & helps sections.

As a newbie I would advise you to actually do more reading and actually stick to our local board here for proper guidance because, if you actually want to grow then the first place to start will be from home. And again for the case of finding the right board to post that depends on the where you can actually relate more because some people relate better on boards that involves less serious discussion and I think also the beginners and help board will also help.

firstly welcome to the forum, am new too but with the little I have gathered i think the forum is created in other to be constructively busy filled with so much enlightenment as the world grows globally, I think all the boards are very unique in it's special way  regarding to your expectations , so do your best and attent to different boards as much as you can.

This forum get enough interesting boards wey go really help you a lot, i no really know wetin carry you come the forum but if na to expand or learn about Bitcoin then you get to they visit more of Bitcoin Discussion Board and if na Altcoin e also get e own board. we still get many sub boards inside here Politics and society Board, Beginners and help, Gambling discussion section even with Economics board and also this our local board. Just find enough time to use navigate around the forum e get plenty things wey the board get wey go interest you and go definitely help you out even for your daily living outside the forum

Na for you to de visit different boards to decide di one wey go fit to help you to increase your knowledge, aldo you no mention any specific areas wey you go need di help, because person fit to direct you go place wey you don already gather knowledge before. We get different boards wey de focus on specific areas of discussions, I no need to de mention all of dem, na for you to de open dem one after di other to see where you need to concentrate and increase your knowledge fast. If you still no know di board to start, na den I fit to advice you to start for beginers and help section, but no matter where you de go post for di forum, always de try to visit dis our local board and try to de make quality posts, e go help you to rank up. As a newbie, what you need is to learn more here and watch the activities of everything going on in the forum then you can also make some research about topics that are discussed here then you can continue posting on the local board till you are familiarize with how things work in the forum then you also need to go to Meta to read some forum rules and regulations guilding the forum afterwhich you can start posting on boards that you understand what is being discussed in their thread also most of the boards also has some rules and information guilding the board, you can read the rules within the top area of each board as some are pinned or locked.

My post isn't a long one actually but I really want to know the Board to stick with as a newbie which will help me to grow my account and Knowledge also, I believe other Newbies Can gain from it.
