You all stated similar and valid concerns:
When looking at this thread is indicating that the essence of this thread is because of scam, because their is no formative information in this thread, we all know that any payment made with bitcoin is a personal demand of that particular sector because I know that bitcoin is not legalized to the extent that every hotel will agree to use bitcoin as a legal tender, secondly are you an agent of intercontinental hotels, so how is going to be possible if not the demands of a particular hotel to accept payment with cryptocurrencies even bitcoin in particular, if this is a personal suggestion it would have be nice initiative.
We provide up to a 70% discount, and a minimum of 50% off, regardless of dates, location or hotel chosen. Furthermore, by paying with privacy-respecting cryptocurrencies like Monero and ZCash you will receive an additional 10% discount.
Care to explain how exactly are you able to provide such a discount as it just doesn't make any sense to me. And on top of that, how can you make any profit from it?
There is an old rule that says when something sounds to good to be true (and your offer definitely is), it usually is and it turns out to be a scam.
No offense, so far this sounds beyond fishy.
Yep, it looks like a scam.
Questions1. Anyone tried this and can share their experience?
2. Top of the line stays: all of the hotels available with our service have 5 stars and a reputation for excellent service.
- So, there is a list of hotels you provide your service on, where?
3. Your privacy is our upmost priority, we allow you to enjoy your trips with the highest degree of privacy and security.
That means what exactly? How are you handling private data and what exactly means "highest degree of privacy and security"?
4. Any insight of how and why you are able to provide a -50 to -70% off discount on flights and hotels? This could help build some trust.
No offense, so far this sounds beyond fishy.
I'll gladly explain how we operate.
To answer Onyeeze's statement: the end payment to the hotel is not made using cryptocurrencies, rather, we pay with standard FIAT or other means of payments as I'll explain in the section dedicated to how we can provide such a discount.
To answer question 2 from Kryptowerk: we generally provide the list upon request based on the location, but you can consider all Hilton and Marriott hotels as a comprehensive list.
To answer question 3 from Kryptowerk: the privacy advantage stands in the fact that customers can pay in crypto which is less traceable if used correctly; we also do not store any data, although the hotel will store the personal data themselves which we cannot do anything about.
To answer Rikafip and question 4 from Kryptowerk:
As you may notice Hilton and Marriott both allow to buy stays with points (or points and a much smaller sum of money). We acquire points for a discount from medium-large corporations that accumulate them while using the service (hotel chains assign bonus points on purchases) for their corporate needs and would rather sell them for money than use them.
Thru this process we manage to save more or less 80% on points (compared to standard conversion) (additionally our now 'premium' tier booking accounts get discounts from the hotel chains) and profit from the difference by selling the service.
The same can be done with flights although corporations are less likely to sell "miles" (flight points) at a discount because they are more likely to use them, hence why we emphasize hotel stays and not flights.
