You can set to your local time zone under your Profile and then Look and Layout Preferences.  Set the time offset to -7 or use the auto detect.

So I have not used one of these message boards for a long time. A pet peeve I have always had with them and am reminded of now, but which also annoys me at other sites...

The times posted in UTC. Feel free to declare this the pinnacle of laziness, but I get tired of doing the math, or really just breaking concentration if I am already thinking about something to figure out when a post was made.

I imagine (but have no idea really) it would be simple to put an add-in to the browser so I could just hover over the UTC time on any site, and it could look at my clock and then tell me in a mouse-over window what the time of the post was in my timezone.

Chrome extension?

If you build it, I won't likely pay a plug nickel for it but would be eternally grateful.

If you think I should just master the art of subtracting 7 and shut the fuck up, I will probably agree with you.

As there are so many coders here messing with random stuff I just thought I would offer it up as a thing that needs to exist. Sort of.

cheers...
