How about a separate board for DT members dirt wars? Some of them are just digging out each others dirt anyway. Maybe a DT trust abuse sub board would also be good. I doubt any of the two will be granted but I think it's more specific than the boring arguments room. No offense to you OP Cheesy

Non taken.
I think It can all fit nicely in same category, and I am not to rigid with exact naming of the board.
Heck, I may even visit it from time to time if I want to taste the bitter pleasure

What seems boring to you, can be interesting to someone else. i love reading some threads of such kind although I get bored sometimes as well. So, better leave these as are now.

Sure, some people love to watch soap operas, cheap movies and eternal show reruns  Tongue
and I don't want to kill them but give them nice and special room to enjoy

I don't think so. Here's a list of just some of the replies from the FIRST PAGE of a thread:

Can you explain in detail why you think so?
Can you share some concrete facts?
Can you explain the meaning of "increase rapidly "?
What price?
Why?
How do you know Bitcoin will increase, what from your mind, can you show something that we can believe your words.
~
~
Ok, put all of your analysis on this thread. We'll be glad to read and see that analysis of yours although we're all bullish and let's see what kind of setup is there and how you're looking into the charts.
~
But if you are so sure about your statements and claimed that it is from your own analyzing skills then you wouldn't have a problem showing us how and when do you expect it to happen.
I would appreciate if you can share your analysis here with your chart
~
~
Can you share some detailed information about how you are able to predict the price pump? what is your basis in the chart?
~
would you at least give a chart, or some kind of statistical indicators, otherwise there are 2 lines in which there is absolutely nothing concrete. No graphs, no statistics, no analysis nothing at all.
Where are the charts then?
~

Like come on, this is silly. It's not just the fact that it's boring, but it's clearly the same idea repeated over and over without anything else useful in the reply. I strongly believe these should be moderated and removed. I'm not saying I'm a high quality poster or anything, but I'm really trying my best not to repeat the same thing others before me have said because it makes no sense and looks like I'm just posting for the post count.

The punishment shouldn't be by giving red trust because it won't stop them. Better to apply a temporary ban for the last warning, then threaten with the permanent ban if no changes. Reinforce the punishment!!

NO, I don't agree!
Giving red trust should be done with care and not so easily.
It would only start new bitcointalk world war III

Some members are constantly polluting the forum environment and taking to much space with same old story
IMO. For those members who polluted the forum constantly, the solution is not making a new section for them, but consider to punish them. The punishment shouldn't be by giving red trust because it won't stop them. Better to apply a temporary ban for the last warning, then threaten with the permanent ban if no changes. Reinforce the punishment!! But yes, to make it fair, don't suddenly give the punishment without a series of warnings to them previously.

Just a hint: it might be a good idea not to name the trolls that annoy you especially since that's what they're probably after.

Is there a reason you guys can't be diplomatic anymore with stuff and just ignore them?

I have enough issues with people in the real world that try to start arguments without ANY FACTS TO BACK IT UP or sometimes even a purpose with what they're saying... Can we go back to having lovely little conversations about innovations in the crypto space and maybe suppliment it with a bit of word politics and science every so often.

It would be difficult to police, as opinions are so subjective. For example, look at the number of members who support vaccination, and the ensuing crippling of children, and are unable to provide any supporting evidence to support medium term research findings.

Word in the scientific community states that 20% of flu cases were prevented by the vaccine a few years ago... Suffice to say it looks as if they were just hoping for a placebo or to make it look like they were doing something.

Certain vaccines such as the MMR apparently have a 99% success rate over 20 years however. You mentioned toxic compounds and the only thig I could find was an organic salt but it's a very tiny dose, and everything's toxic in a high enough quantity. We're talking about points of a milligram and 20 miligrams per kilo of person being lethal (but I'm not entirely sure on the stat).

Just wait until "someone" start calling you out for your "wide net shotgunning" of negative feedbacks such as "cheater", "scam shitposter", "spam", "ban evasion" calling them abusive and ranting in your threads about it calling you mob, you will very quickly change your opinion and start doing this "I am right, and you are wrong" thingy  Wink

But yeah, we could use something like svađaona aka "fight room" around here  Grin

You can try reporting bullshit threads in Meta and Reputation to be moved to Off Topic. I think there is a case to be made that all those personal squabbles are not "Discussion about the Bitcoin Forum" (Meta) and not... whatever Reputation is supposed to be about - it's under Trading Discussion so "TMAN said a bad word" probably shouldn't be there.

I do use IGNORE, but I fear it will crash due to overuse  Tongue
LOL, as long as the button is still functioning I think you are free to use it anytime, friend.  Cheesy

The Reputation discussion has turned into a Debate section now where all post against other DT members so another section is needed there just for debates. Using Meta and Reputation for such debates is not needed now.
Yeah, maybe more than that, man. But I quite difficult to distinguish between debate and drama there. Sometimes I also spend a lot of time reading things that make me laugh there and its good to be a way to refresh my brain.

I agree with you, and I say give them a separate room so they can have pleasure 24/7 or poison will soon spill out everywhere.

I also get caught in this situation more often than not. I like debates, for a fact. Hence, I'll provide my argument when I don't agree with an idea.

I just hate it when I go to a thread and see that, out of 10 replies, at least half of them are the exact same idea but written with other words. When a new thread pops up, it takes 20-30 minutes for someone to reply and then everyone literally copies the same argument.

Like come on, is is that hard to just think a bit about the subject and write your thoughts? It's so obvious all the time. I'd rather take these posts down, but that's hell of a work for the mods/staff.

Yeah, we should set up a nice little room for trolls like CH/TOAA/whoever where there's a circular hole in one wall with the circumference of a Coke can.  That way the more reputable members of the forum could show them their true feelings in an anonymous fashion.

Better yet, use that ignore button if stupid arguments and nonsense drama aren't your cup of tea.  And honestly, it's pretty easy to see when cryptohunter has made a new alt account since apparently he's constitutionally incapable of altering his writing style or his themes.  I don't know if that's who OP's talking about, but that's the first thing that comes to my mind.

If you cant take some topic just ignored the user if you found their post too redundant. Forum cant adjust to this so better youre the one who adjust mate.
