bump. Found what I need on newegg, but they are out of stock, and I want some badly now! Now I'm prefering PCI-E power splitters, such as this one.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16812198016

Edit: Never mind. Found a cheaper and longer cable same brand on newegg. I caved in and bought 8. No longer need cables..

FWIW, I bought http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16812198018

I just want to mention that I use some of the ones included with the Sapphire extremes and have had no issues. Bump for you!

I have 10 of those I'm using now that I got from 5 5830's I bought from newegg. Works great, no problems. Looking for more still (or sata > PCI-E), or preferably PCI-E splitters now. I saw a handful on ebay, but the price is kinda scary.

Those are double molex too. Not what I want.

I'll take my chances. I underclock and undervolt anyways. Couldnt be much more than 50w per pci-e going through the molex anyways.

The worst heat I got was on my backup 600w PSU (old, only has 20 pin atx, and old 6 pin 3.3v mobo connectors. had 336w available on 12v, single rail) with no pci-e power plugs. I populated all the molex with pci-e power adapters, and they werent warm, however the ground wires on the psu's molex lines were rather warm, though not quite hot. The adapters were fine. The wires on the psu molex arent quite as thick as my and a good deal longer newer psu's, probably why it got warm.

Besides, I've been using 10 of the single molex > pci-e power adapters for about 9 months now, no problems at all. They came with my sapphire 5830 extremes when they were on newegg for $130. I love them.

Figured this would eventually happen. While expanding my little operation, I realized I had no more molex to PCI-E power adapters left. I really like the 1 molex to 1 PCI-E plug ones that came with the sapphire 5830 extremes, mainly because the middle 12v wire in the PCI-E power plug isn't missing unlike the 2x molex > PCI-E power plugs I see all over on ebay.

So yeah. I need a handful, maybe 8 or so, shipped to zip code 54501, USA. Shoot me some prices. I would really prefer single molex to PCI-E and not double molex adapters, unless they have all 3 12v pins in the PCI-E plug. I only want single molex to PCI-E adapters now. Changed my mind and now prefer PCI-E power splitters that split a single PCI-E 6 pin power plug into 2, optionally into a 6+2 pin variant for 5970's and other high end cards.

I have bitcoin, paypal, dwolla, and MTGox funds. I also have account with amazon payments and moneybookers, but I haven't used either of those for payment yet.

Shoot me some offers.

So much strikeouts. Anyways, got what I needed. See my last post.
